Communication from MTurk about new accounts

    Hi guys,

    I have been waiting for my MTurk account to be reviewed the same as a lot of you, and I emailed them and got a response. Just a bit of background info: I used to have an MTurk account when I lived in Australia, but I was advised by MTurk that I needed to close that account and open a new one now that I live in the USA, which I did and it's still under review. This is why she refers to my previous account in the email.

    I just thought I'd show this to everyone here to help try and combat some of the "hiring freeze" rumours.

    Thanks for posting this. I am also in the same boat, eagerly awaiting the day I get an email from Amazon that I am approved. It has been over a week or more by now with some on this board waiting even longer.

    We have recently changed our Worker registration process to include a review by our customer care team before a Worker can work. Some Workers have experienced a delay with this new process and it has taken longer than we expected and we apologize for the delay. Our goal is to complete reviews within 2 business days of the initial registration. We are falling short of this goal right now but are working to get back on track. We expect to complete the review of all Worker registrations we have received within the next week. Once a Worker’s account has been reviewed, the Worker will receive an email from us. Again, we apologize for this delay.

    Hi Munawwar,
    I like your immense knowledge about the mturk working system. I have a problem and hope you can clarify. I have a voter Id but my date of birth is not mentioned on it. My passport has expired and I don't have a PAN card either. So can I withdraw my money?

    Try adding you voter ID incase it gets verified..Elze apply for a PAN card asap....I wouldnt recommend passport copy as its quite unsafe
