I just got an email stating that crowdsource granted med a qualification of 1 for "Question Answering". Then about a half an hour later got an email saying they had revoked it. I didn't ask for this qualification, but to give it to me then revoke it just seems f'ed up!
Not recently they aren't. I used to get responses on the day of my email, but lately it has taken more than two weeks.
If you've done work for them in the past, requesters can grant a new qualification to you, even if you haven't requested it. It sounds like they did a bulk grant of some qualification, then rescinded it afterwards. (They probably made a mistake in granting it to you in the first place.) I wonder how long it's going to be before requesters realize that they can use qualifications in a negative way, to block you from doing their hits. For example, granting the "Does Shitty Work" "qualification" to someone with a value of 1, then only making their HITs available to people who have a "Does Shitty Work" qualification of 0.
Same here. I was surprised, thinking that maybe there was a chance at better-paying HITs in store for me ... and then it was pulled. Sad! But, now that I know I'm not alone, I don't feel bad anymore. Just... confused.
