So it seems they are not allowing Indians to register.

Wow, there is something fishy going around here. Though, I'm an indian, I must consider myself lucky that I enrolled for mturk a year ago or I would have been in the same boat as many indians who are waiting for their approval. I feel sorry for the indians but there hadn't been any indian turkers account been approved lately and as i already said in one of my earlier post given an option of selecting an indian or a US turker they will most probably go with an US one. It must be like one of their last option when the world is coming to an end or sort of.

The mturk workers pool must have got filled up beyond it's saturation point and with new requsters coming to mturk, they have to now concentrate on quality. Mturk is also a business afterall, so they need to see their bottomline now.

So what are we going to see next, Entrance test. He he.

I'm not sure how to comment on the lack of Indian approved accounts, but I mean it took me almost 3 weeks to get approved. I don't think it has anything to do with location but hey I could be wrong.

I think the only confirmed rejections we've heard about so far are Indian accounts, that's why the assumption is being made. Be good to hear if anyone from another country has not been approved.

Many congrats to the new approvals. Welcome to the daily grind :) Remember, do at least 3 hits a day for 10 days to get your HIT limit lifted as soon as possible.

Perhaps they reduced the minimum hit requirement for new workers - from the acceptance email I was sent:
