This is the first time I've been able to Turk on a Saturday...

... and it is terrible. I've always worked weekends, so I never have been able to do any turking. Now I've changed jobs, and have Saturday/Sunday off. I've always seen people here talking about how slow the weekends are, and thought it couldn't be THAT bad. I was wrong.

Weekends are the worst. It's because most requesters work 9-5 weekdays, and even surveys done by universities are limited to school hours. Pending HITs just sit there. No good work comes up and when it does, guess what? Not only are the weekday Turkers picking through the HITs, now the part-time Turkers (like yourself) are picking also. So anything good is gone in a heartbeat, and all that's really left is the auto-posted HITs that always flood the front page. I hate weekends.

Yeah, I'm afraid my turking money is going to drop significantly. I used to have Monday and Tuesday off, so I'd spend all day working on those days. I also didn't go into work until 4 on Thursdays, so I had all morning and afternoon to turk... I've been averaging $55-$70 per week, but that looks like it won't last. Now all I've got are weekends, and then whatever I can find that pops up from about 5:30PM and later on weekdays.

Good thing my new job pays me a lot more than my old one did.

Better than me, I'm at $1.50, though I've only put in maybe 10 minutes of actual work. I'm not gonna sit there and work for $2/hr though. I'm just checking in every 20 minutes or so to see if there is anything available, if not then it's back to the XBOX haha.

I can't reschedule my days off. 8-5 monday through friday is the schedule, period.

Either way, I'm making about $125 per week more at my new job than I was at my old one, that more than cancels out the difference I will see in my turk earnings. Would just be nice to supplement that income even more.

Today most of the hits are not even $2/hour...Just did 1 from CrowdFlower that pays 0.08 $ and took me 5 mins to complete the hit...

There's plenty of writing ones up in the $1.5 to $2 range... that's $10 an hour for good writers.

I've done a few of these. I made about $30 today from writing so far. Saturdays are usually as slow for me as other people, but today (this one time) I actually made some money.

I'm going to keep working on Houdini as long as I can. Crap pay, but I need the money. :/

I wouldn't give up so easily chaos, all it takes is a big batch to make some money... it probably has more to do with your random chances of logging on when one is up.

Eh, I did a little over $10 today. Not nearly what I would have done on a Monday or Tuesday with the same effort.

I actually usually do fairly well on weekends, better than I do on weekdays when I have to go to my regular job which takes most of the day away from turking :( I made $40 yesterday, assuming that everything approves **crosses fingers**
