1) Keep requesting for qualifications, regularly. There are many, which doesn't need you to take a test. Just request. 2) Keep your approval rate high, and abandon rate low.
After uve completed 1000+ hits more will open up to you. Once uve completed 5000 even MORE will open up

Yep I found this to be BIG. I see a lot of people saying not to worry about getting your HIT count up because it's not all that many new work opening up... which I have found to be completely false. There are lots of new HITs opened to you at 1000, and then more at 5000. Even if there weren't all that many, these are usually the prime HITs that you definitely want to do. Put it this way, it took me like 2+ months to get to 1000 HITs. Then to get from 1000 to 5000 took maybe 3 weeks. Part of it was that I didn't know the right jobs to do early on, but a BIG part of it was that I had so many new hits open to me at 1000, that it was much easier to get those next 4000 done.
Your options are likely limited if you're new. Some reliable requesters that always approve are Catalog Choice and Redwood, though the pay is low. They are quick HITs and if you should happen to find a batch of 500+ for either requester, I think the earnings could build fairly quickly. Unfortunately, they usually only post in small amounts throughout the day. It's hard to give a better answer though without knowing where you are from. Some of the jobs open to US workers aren't open to international workers.
