I just got the same snippet that I got earlier. Has this happened to anybody else? It was approved the first time, but I didn't do it again because I didn't want to press my luck.
It's a very rare thing, but I have had it happen a few times. I've gone ahead and transcribed the second occurrences, and they've been approved and paid.
My work has never been rejected by ClariTrans (consistent 4 and "Thank you"), but I've been barred from completing any more transcriptions for them. When I attempt to accept a hit, I am given a message stating that "The Requester (ClariTrans) has chosen to prevent you from working on any of this Requester's HITs." I have attempted to contact ClariTrans through MTurk several times over the past three months, receiving no response. I see in this thread that some people who have had similar experiences have had success in contacting the company. Any advise on that point? I'd like to at least know why I've been banned.
The reason for those is that they are so hard to understand that they can't get anybody to do them and raise the pay.
The first time I took that test I got an 80-something. Then I took it later and got a 91. Tonight I took it again and still got the 91.
I've found that a rating of 4 tends to be on ones which are delayed in approval. For example, I do five of their 9 cent hits in a row. Four of them are approved within an hour all of which just get the "Thanks". There is one of them which is delayed in approval for several hours. That one ends up with a rating of 4. That makes me think that maybe there was a question on that one in which the grader felt they needed help or a second opinion on how well I had done.
Is Claritrans no longer on Mturk? I searched for them but didn't find them. Maybe I need to search better? Did they stop putting work on Mturk?
Claritrans usually has HITs posted every day, including yesterday. Just keep an eye out. Maybe put them on Page Monitor or C4C.
Thanks. I looked again yesterday and I did see a lot of work posted by ClariTrans, yay. It was just over the weekend that I didn't see anything, so I thought that maybe they weren't around anymore. What is the Page Monitor, and what is C4C? Thank you
