    Hello all,

I've always wondered that why Mturk doesn't send cheques to India in the registered mail or speed post service?

The cheques they send are very precious, and there is high probability that they get lost in ordinary post. And, we know our postal guys, they will deliver ordinary articles if they are in the mood, else they will throw it away.

I don't mind paying $10 or $12 for each withdrawal instead of $4, but it must be registered or in the Speed Post.

    Sometimes, I doubt Mturk honesty.

It is 6 weeks since I got the mail from them that my cheque is in mail, but still not received it.

    I am worried a lot!

What's ur opinion? Should we write to them requesting cheques should be sent in registered or speed post service?

I hope they will consider if they get more requests.

I am not saying my opinion but share my experiences til now

April 5 - requested first cheque - recvd within 14 days
May 25 - requested second cheque - recvd within 12 days
    Jul 2 - requested 3rd cheque - recvd within 10 days

I dont think Mturk will bring in a change on that(ordinary postal method)...I have seen many ppl complaining about not receiving cheques long after the confirmation mail. This failure is mostly due to bad postal service at the specified area.I av tried two districts in my state ( Moms native and dad's) Either have been without any problems for me

So as all say it ...I request you to check the status of the postal service at your area.If you find its not worth enough..Then better try a different address(relatives /friends) prolly someone u cud trust on this and see how it works out.

As u havent recvd the cheque even after 6 weeks...u better send a support ticket to the mturk team regarding your problem along with the transaction ID u"v created after submitting request for cheque to hear from them.So u cud give a re-request with an adress changed in your account and watch how things go then......

The mail comes in as private and confidential...so i dont think its that unsafe unless you publicize about recvn a cheque....Not sure but may be the registered or speed post wud service make the procedure even more complex...

    Well said Munawar,
Me too had opted out 4 payments and all received swiftly and in no time (Not as assured by Mturk).
However there are cases where delayed delivery by postal dept and equally contributed by the errors in the address itself..
In spite of quick and prompt shipments, its better that Mturk opts for other modes too....

I am working for Mturk for about 8 months and I have drawn 4 cheques from them.

I receive cheques within 10 to 12 days. But, I too think why they are sending these valuable cheques through ordinary post. Now a days most of the trasactions are made through online and why not mturk make it?

Moreover, every time my cheques are credited after 10 to 14 days duration to my Bank Account.
In conclusion If I request for a payout in mturk, I have to wait for about 30 days to see that payment in my hand.

    It is horrible thing.

The online procedure most suitable for Indians is the paypal but unfortunately that is owned by the company e-bay and hence making things work thru tht wud not benefit Amazon or rather levy some extra charges which will affect we Indian Turkers as well especially when high amount is moved in.Hence Amazon is using this method of sending payments.

Secondly it wudnt take tht time if u deposit your cheque in your bank closest to a citibank branch at tht place. In my case i depositted my first cheque at Calicut but unluckily theres no Citibank branch in this district and it took me 18 days for the money to b cleared out in my account as it had to go to Cochin and come back.

Next two times i depositted it at Cochin branch which was just near to Citibank branch there...and both time i got it cleared in one day.

So deposit cheques at your banck branches nearby to Citibank and things go quicker

    Thanks a lot Munnavar.

Next time I will try to deposit the cheque in Chennai where there is Citibank branch.

One more doubt. I have registered with paypal and also submitted with all details. Even after 9 months later I am not able to receive money through Paypal. My account shows "Pan verification in progress".

I have sent many mails to them for all mails they just send rubbish general quotes. I gave up and never turned then.

My pleasure...There are two steps in complete verification of an Indian Paypal account.First, entering your PAN number and getting your identity verified.Second entering your bank details like name...account name, branch, swift code etcetra and getting your bank attached to it.Whr and hw did it go rong for U ?

    Hi,

When did you get mail regarding your conversion rate, and what was your conversion rate and where are you from? I've got mail regarding my conversion rate on 12th of July, and have not received the cheque yet.
