I don't agree with you. I've done some hits that i had returned some time back (a hour or two).
I faced this situation in ignite...

You maybe right.. My experience is limited to surveys and attempting to do one that was previously returned .. this has happend ALOT tho which leads me to believe its not a user setting but a mturk setting.. My logical thinking leads me to believe the hit you did twice was simply posted twice 2 different hit #'s since alot of requesters post the same hit 3-5 times to get a majority rules responce..

I could be wrong but from my experience its not possible to do the same hit # that was returned..

I agree with Playa. You would never be able to see a HIT again once you returned it.

I asked this coz there was a smarsheet.com task tht i was doing ...Some 50 hits were available and none were being taken..I randomly rerturned a few say some 20 and did some 30 and now tht hits available were 20+ ...suddenly it showed there are no more hits available though it seemed no one else was working on it since an hour or two

So i assume what playa said is right

So what happens with the HIT that we return? I believe that the requester churns it back as available HITs. May be there is some programming due to which the HIT does not falls back to the worker who returned it.

For surveys returned, can't see again.

With CastingWords I'll accept a job, just to return it so it disappears. It doesn't. I may not see it again right away (one job, multiple HITs available) but it will be there again for me eventually.
