    What is this?

I am Tjbot! I'm a solution devised by the genious mods to prevent there ever being a day that hit threads aren't posted! The whole point of my existence is to post a hit thread if one doesn't exist by 12:08am PST. If you see this post, assume that this one is the main post. One of the mod team will clean up existing posts and consolidate once they wake up and get online. As my name indicates, I am a bot. I don't post, nor do I respond to PM's. If you have any problems, send an email to tjbot@ns4t.net or PM Tjololo, he can help out with any issues.
Want to make tomorrow's thread? Just go for it!

I'm at $3.00 so far! Woo Hoo! I want to try and do at least $10 today and $10 tomorrow but that may not happen. I think I blew off last 4th of July weekend and of course the 4th was actually on Sunday so I didn't bother.

I don't understand where my neighbors get the money for their spectacular fireworks displays. The people across the street from me put on a hell of a show last night. The huge, elaborate kind of rockets, like towns and cities use for their displays, and so many... They easily blew up five grand in just the last twenty minutes of it. It was kind of fun to watch--lit up the whole damned sky, directly above me.

But the wastefulness also made me feel a little ill. It always does.

I could understand it better if it was the drug dealers two doors down who did it, but these people are trash pickers. They buy trash, comb through it, and resell anything still of use that they find. As far as I can tell, that's all they do for a living, and yet they literally have money to burn. How????

I went by one of those fireworks stands last year when I was in a state that sold those kind of fireworks. Those bigass rocket batteries are $150 each and on up. I went to a redneck fireworks display that night where everybody in the town set their own fireworks off and they all had those batteries. Some had more than others. They all had shitty cars though and the town was on the poorer end. I guess it's why people are complaining about the price of gas which even now less than half the price of other western countries and a fairly minor expense overall but piss away literally thousands of dollars on a family fireworks show. Gas money for the next year at least. America in a nutshell I guess.

And somebody's doing it again right now. Other side of town instead of next door this time, though.
Sounds more like corn popping than warfare. The dog isn't even trying to hide from it.

Fun fact, I met a good person, close friend, in my city online because I posted a twitter comment to my city about random fireworks. "Are these gunshots or is there something happening I'm not aware of?"

We figured it out. Fireworks, thankfully. But I truly hate that sound and it makes me feel like I'm on edge and very anxious. My heart reaches out to all the pets cowering, people with PTSD, and just all around jumpy people.
