the amount that now shows up in your account is the one with status "approved+pending payment"

Once the status transforms to " paid " it will show up in your current balance

Do not panic ..once approved u will surely be paid

    goodluck with turking :)

Thank you very much! I enjoy it.

As a college student this is much better than a part time job and will surely pay for a great amount of cheap meals and more :D

My total is now a significantly higher amount and still my current balance is lagging way behind at $3.81

I don't mean to be paranoid since it's been clarified I will be receiving the full amount in time, but I'd like more details I suppose. With the current balance always take longer to receive pay? I haven't made one withdraw yet, and I'm going to soon. Thanks!

Well I am fairly new to Turking as well so I am sure someone will correct this if I'm wrong. Basically the work you do is paid from a requesters account, once the requester approves your HIT it is then Amazon who pays out the amount from the requesters account. From what I understand Amazon only does this once a day or every 6 hours I've never really seen a definitive answer and I don't know if there is one.

So basically, once your HIT is approved it will say 'pending' then when the payment is processed by Amazon it goes to 'paid' and the amount is in your balance. Unfortunately it will never be instant.. it took I think 5 days for the ~$50 I made in my first 10 days to trickle into my account balance. Don't worry.. you'll get it! Just takes a bit of time.

Actually, when you do the hit, it says "pending". Then when the requester approves it, it says "Approved - Pending Payment". At this point, the money will not show up in your balance. Requesters have up to 30 days to approve and pay for a hit. Up to that point, you should not worry. If they don't approve/reject your work by then, Amazon automatically approves it and the requester has to pay, regardless. Only when your hit status says "Paid" will it show up in your balance.

Wait, so from what I have understood from what you've said here is that... Even after your HITs approved, the requester can still decide not to pay you?

nothing to worry my friend...After u r done with the first 10 days of turking

...you current balance will strt catching up with your account earnings...As to I dont know hw the payment occurs....(May be the if the requester has enuff balnce in their amazon account we are paid quick or its kept a debit until its refilled) so may be thts the time its takes us to get paid.I generaly have once a difference of 1$ or so with my current bal and general earnings which itself means the time lag is less

No worries...Once approved...u r 100% safe to get paid...So keep turking without worries and make sure u do not get rejected for any hits by taking care to give a quality job for the requester

    Thank you :)

Surely as I continue to do HITs and keep my approval rate high I will be qualified for higher paying work.

I currently working mainly for CrowdSource, and some MIT. Making about $2-5 per hour. Decent :D

(also, my approval rate is 98.4%)

The Turk FAQ is really vague about the timeline for doing a HIT -> being approved by the Requester -> money ending up in your Balance. Once the HIT is approved, you will get paid, but I'm not sure of the 'when'. For approval times, you might have heard that there is an 'auto-approval' time for all HITs that varies, depending on what the Requester sets it as. This script shows you the auto-approval time on the HIT's page.
