What if anything do you use for your hands? Like .. Do you use a Hand brace or a Gel pad or anything where your palms rest?

I needa find something my left hand is killing me from this laptop / side of the laptop from using the left hand as the tab/space hand and the right for arrow keys..

Left hand palm is starting to hurt a bit from all day turking so i just wundering if anyone else out there experienced the same problum and found a viable solution?

I'm on mac, so I can tell you on a mac there is a bunch of customization you can do to your trackpad, I'm not familiar with Windows anymore in that aspect. Also, I am right handed, so my left hand is rarely used save for typing. But, what I can tell you is to try to activate tap clicking. I noticed a night-and-day difference when I stopped clicking the buttons at the bottom of my trackpad and instead just had to lightly tap anywhere to "click" something. Also, change the speed of your cursor up on your trackpad, this will allow you to move across the screen in one swift movement, rather than pulling that "treadmill" motion to get your cursor in the right spot. It takes some getting used to, but it will minimize your hand movement.

Of course these are minor changes, but when your turking for hours on end, you'll notice a bit of a difference.

A lot of times I will lay down open my touchscreen laptop and do hits.I cant use touchpad because of that reason.Might sound lazy but there is more movment with a touchpad.Using my touchscreen with a pen works great most the time.

I use an inexpensive USB fullsize keyboard. I very rarely use the laptop's keyboard or monitor. I have a flatscreen monitor attached. I only use the actual laptop keyboard or monitor if I am traveling.

I take frequent breaks. That's all I can do.

I've got a little stand with a gel pad rest for my wrists but honestly it doesn't help when typing due to the positioning of my keyboard. My best bet is a cheap usb mouse and taking breaks/stretching when I need to.

I used to have a macbook and I much preferred working on that, the track pad and keyboard on this one just don't seem to be as comfy.

Is your laptop in your lap? The angle is awkward and if you raise it six to eight inches your wrist won't be at such a sharp angle. If you can't do that - wrist guard and then a pillow under your left elbow or else it will be your shoulder that's bugging you next.
