I remember it being really hit or miss, cycling through nothing to a boatload of hits and back again. I know I was on when everyone else seemed to be partying and made a ridiculous amount on surveys and then after the holiday hoopla died down EVERYONE was turking and it was slim pickings. This year has been completely different than last year though. Last year there were so many black friday - cyber monday surveys that didn't even exist this year. I would say to just check in at different times.

Our schools are out on Friday, its self appointed take your daughter to work day for me ^_^ . My sister teaches second grade, and a kid in her class raised his hand and told everyone according to his parents the world was going to end on Friday, and that is why that didn't have to go to school. He continued to say that way they could all die at home with their families. 2nd grade. Needless to say its was a somewhat long day for her.

I can only imagine. Both my sons are in high school, so the situation is slightly different. There have been a mix of gun/bomb threats at local schools, so I'm considering keeping them home. On the other hand, there has been an increased security presence since last friday.

Yeah, there is that too. My daughter is in first grade and they really amped up the security at her school over the last week as well. I will gladly keep her with me with everything that has been going on.
I went to my oldest sons school today and couldn't believe the laxed security, I walked into the office no problem and the secretary didn't care either way if I signed in or not...so frustrating
My daughter's school requires you to hold your ID to a camera before they open the door, then you have to go with an escort to the office

Down here, the doors are locked at all times, and you are required to sign in. This week, all classroom doors are locked (Indoor school), they have two extra deputies (always a least 1), and classes aren't allowed to take place outside (PE and Driver's Ed, etc.). In my opinion, it's a little bit overboard, but better safe than sorry I guess.
