Okay, so I've signed up a little more than a month ago. I did a couple hits, earned $1.25 and quit till I came back a week ago. That's when I really got addicted to the site and start working more and harder. I'm currently up to $10.45 and still going. However, when I last checked yesterday in my 'Accounts Settings', my balance still showed $1.25. I contacted mturk about it but I haven't received a reply as of yet. I transferred the $1.25 to my amazon.com account in hopes that it would unbug or something. Still nothing. So basically, what I see on "Your Account": And this is what I see on "Account Settings: Has anyone else experienced that? Cause I for one like to see my work paying off and enjoying the every bit of satisfaction it can offer me. I haven't stopped working but I kind of need that thorn taken off. Thank you.
Well when your HITs are approved you don't get paid immediately, you can check the HITs individually and you'll see that they are pending payments, so you just have to wait for them to pay you, it doesn't take longer than a day usually.
I see how it works now.. I see that my first 2 HITs have the "Paid" description next to them. But if they usually don't take more than a day, why haven't my HITs paid off yet? I've been working the whole week and they're all pending payment.
You dont get paid immediately even after the hits been approved, sometimes you have to wait a number of days after approval to get the money transferred into your balance and BTW thats not your gift certificate balance its mturk balance
It depends on the requester some requester approve and pay fast some others dont, I have some hits done more than a week ago and they still pending.
I just hope there's no problem with my account or something. I've read in the FAQs the following paragraph: "If you are a new Worker, there is an initial holding period before your money is transferred to your Amazon Payments account. This holding period is an important security requirement and you will not be able to disburse funds during this time. Your money is held until you have been active on Mechanical Turk for 10 days." The way I see it, today is my 10th day overall that I'm active as per submitting HITs and stuff. Which means I should be getting the money tomorrow or something? Yet again, this doesn't explain how I got immediately paid for my first 2 HITs.. This is so confusing..
Problem fixed. Apparently, Amazon was in possession of all my payments because I hadn't completed 10 days of Mturk activity. Yesterday was my 10th day, so now I'm receiving all my payments as expected and my balance is constantly growing. Couldn't have been happier with the communication and service. Thanks everyone.
