I have an issue with Redwood requester (I don't know if you all have this issue)
whenever I try to do his job I get this error message
"No jobs could be found for this HIT!
Most likely, this means that the only work we have left is on data that you have already worked on. To ensure quality, we cannot have a single worker touch any piece of data more than once.
Please return this HIT and select another one of a different type, or try again later."

Either there is 600 or 10 hits left. I barely do 6-7 hits from him, may be he allow me do 1 hit then again this error message, now I want to boost up my approve ratings :( , can't find another way :( help guys

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. Some of his hits to this to me, others don't. Weird.

"Hi, at Redwood Tech we strive for quality results. Your work so far has not met our standards and we’re sorry, but you cannot complete our HITs anymore.

Please return this HIT and select another one of a different type."

This is another error message pop up while I do his hits, I don't know what is happening here. Can anyone help me

I see. Your message is a little different. Yours sounds like it is due to the grading system. It may or may not be your fault. The grading systems can be pretty hideous at times. While at other times, it can also be the worker submitting poor results. But the systems are usually unfair, if you've done enough of them you may be getting soft blocked.

I have been building up my HITs number by doing Oscar Smith - I happen to enjoy data entry, so this is a natural for me. He has never rejected any of my HITS...his internal scoring is a little wonky (in my humble opinion), but if it's building up numbers, they have helped me immensely.

Bayonjoset, as far as strategy, I hope at this point that you are not focusing on Redwood. Considering all these messages you're reporting, your time would be better spent doing work for other requesters. It's very unlikely that Redwood is going to make any effort to "fix" these issues for you.

I only did one for them and got that message. I'm not touching them again.

I think the problem with redwood hits is many-fold:

    1) The instructions and UI for some of the hits do not actually make any sense together or are just really counter intuitive

    2) The quality of your work seems to be assessed by averaging parallel results for the same hit on many of their hit types. If no one understands the instructions, and everyone is doing them wrong, many people are going to get flagged for bad work. There do not seem to be any 'long term' redwood reviewers. They all get flagged after the first few hits, so everyone is new.

    3) Zero communication.

    4) There doesn't actually seem to be anyone supervising their mturk system by and large. For many of their hits, it seems completely automatic. Skynet is online, and it's really really dumb.

I have actually been doing pretty decent with their transcription hits though (just for numbers, but they are approved quick and I haven't gotten any rejections out of hundreds). I can pound through them quicker than Oscars. When they are available I bite, but I expect at some point it might bite me back, so this isn't advice.

These were my notion about Redwood up until recently. But my last experience with them makes me think the other way round. They DO listen.

I've done tons of review work for them in the past months until they soft blocked me for the review HITs in the last month. When tried to guess what would've possibly gone wrong, all I could think of was I've been flagging the single-word-cheat-transcripts even though that word was correct. I sent a nice mail explaining the situation to them and mentioning about this loophole in their system. The next thing I know, the block was removed when I checked them last week and I'm now able to do their review HITs again. There haven't been any sort of reply or acknowledgement mail from them to confirm that the block was removed in response to my mail but I strongly believe so.

So, anyone who is blocked from them, don't lose hope. Send them a mail if you think the block is genuine and you'll most likely get it reversed. :)

For some reason, I'm thinking their soft block has a timer on it? Because I always get the message like I been soft blocked, then other times it will go directly to the review hits. Other times it will give me the message like I was soft blocked.

I've never been able to do a Redwood hit. I usually get that "no other hits available." Last week I got the message that my work wasn't good enough and go somewhere else. WTF??I've never done a hit for them.
