I have noticed how many hits she has. Hits are becoming scarce for newbies and I see some people talk bad about her while other have worked and got paid. Is she a crook or just a person that takes long to pay? Thanks, sunnymarie
When I was first in Mturk, I was doing the HITs of the Dolores Labs, first their name was that... Then at that I time I will get many good paying HITs. Nowadays their HITs are a big NO for me... for the various reason. (Eventhough, I have never got a rejection from them) 1. They are now posting big tasks with low pay... 2. Some HITs contain bad test questions for which if we told the right answer they will value it as wrong and will effect the accuracy level 3. Because of the above reasons they are not allowing me to do some of their HITs So me stopped with them.. I am using the block requester script for hiding the HITs from them.. For the case of payments... they will pay... sometimes the approval will take time...
Oh, they pay. It only takes time. However most of their tasks have very low compensation. But for simple google tasks, I guess $0.05 will do.
The way I feel is that I should get the .05 just for reading those ridiculously long and sometimes convoluted instructions. I'm not saying I don't often do a series of .02 hits, but CrowdFlower is consistently asking for work that is worth more than what they offer. They aren't stupid, but I think they believe that some of us are.
Thank you so much for the information! As a newbie looking for work that I'm allowed to do until I get my HIT count up, I've often wondered if working for CrowdFlower would be something I would attempt. . .thank you for giving me honest information to make up my mind with.
Great information friends. I was wondering why she always has so many hits, but I had heard someone at Turkopticon talking bad about her and I decided to post the question. You guys are great, thank you so much. sunnymarie
