Hello everyone out there. So it has been over a couple of months since I joined Mturk. A fellow college classmate of mine had referred it to me. I decided to give it a try since I'm in my teens & I relish to have some extra pocket money other than the paltry allowance my parents give me each month. I had tried the "AdSense" service from Google before but I was not satisfied with the trifling money I made by advertising on my blogs and YouTube videos. So I started working on Mturk, spent an hour or two each day on jobs like transcription and what not. Read a lot of reviews and retrospects from a lot of turkers in various blogs, many of them calling it an evil blood sucking corporate machine. Scores of them claiming that it's a scam and it doesn't pay anything. Nevertheless I continued working for over 2 months and my dashboard earnings rendered high up to 122$. That was it. Didn't touch the site for many weeks after that. Logged in again after 3 weeks. Straight away opted to withdraw my earnings in Indian rupees. Got an email from them soon after(on September 10): Two days later I received another email from them enunciating that the cheque has been sent by mail(on September 12): The exchange rate for USD-INR during that time period was factually Rs 55.44 where as what they tendered was Rs 54.88. I wonder who keeps the rest of the money then? Amazon also charged me $4 for the withdrawal. I waited for the cheque impatiently. Days felt like weeks. Finally received the cheque after 6 long days(on September 18). Here is a snap of the envelope: Apparently the cheque gets shipped all the way from Singapore. My grandma who happened to acquire the mail from the mailman dubiously questioned me on why I have received a post from Singapore. And here is snap of the cheque leaflet itself: PS: Used a flatbed scanner since it was more handy than a digicam. I blurred out all my personal information for obvious reasons. I'll continue to work on Mturk on a regular basis from now on. I have also come across similar sites like microworkers, o-desk, e-lance, fiverr, minuteworkers, et cetera which I recommend you all to try out yourselves. Please feel free to comment or ask any questions. So in conclusion, Amazon Mturk is good stuff and it does pay.
well done due.... I have also opted for ma 3rd payment, and waiting for the transferred rates of my money..
