I must be the only one that doesn't like the Rubins - at all. They're long, tedious, and you have to search constantly for the correct information - which half of the time isn't even there. The pay is good, but when you spend so much time searching for what you need, how good can it really be? Sadly, it doesn't look like there's much else going on, but if I had a choice, I wouldn't pick the Rubins over something else.
bredeanf, weren't you doing some of those $1.00 Rubins that were up a few days ago? Did you actually find the information or did you just put "not available" on some on them. I was kind of wary of even trying them. They looked like they might have been more trouble than they were worth.
http://turntable.fm/mturk_holiday_party -- you guys are missing a great christmas party! Take a break from the Rubins and have some fun
I dont know, I tend to get into a groove with them and find a lot of the same schools repeating. When you're on a run and a given batch of Rubins has about 6-7 schools that you've gotten used to and they keep popping up... you don't do all that much searching. Maybe just if you can't find an e-mail or 2, but it gets much faster the more you do it. The professor ones might be a little longer, but I don't normally spend more than 3 minutes on those (sometimes a little more). Which is still .17/min
I did 15 of them, I had no trouble finding the Sakai or whatever project they were using but finding the staff was another story, probably half of those had n/a for staff and the others only had a few, never all of the jobs also i'm still waiting for him to approve or reject those
Not the only one... I'm doing these: https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=2YEXHVKCJ011QZCPEI0KYW659T568R
I only looked at a couple of those HITs, but that was my problem, too. The info on staff seemed very difficult to find. So, I didn't do any of them.
Admittedly, this is the first time I've done them (simply because they looked intimidating to start with). Some have been easier than others, but it's getting frustrating. I believe that there probably is a method to this, but, ugh, I sure haven't found it yet. If it stays this slow, it's going to be one looooong week.
I'm not expecting it to be a very good week. These Rubins are at least going to keep me afloat during the predictable lull early in the week.
or rubin is actually doing a psychological survey on how much people value money over christmas celebration
I can't see him penalizing for the info not being there, I made sure to leave comments when that happened but it seems like a lot of schools just don't have their IT team listed online
I love professors who make their own pages. EDIT: And despise professors who make syllabi with no contact info.
