I'm new to mturk and to the forum. Today is my 6th day submitting hits. Once my (about) 100 cap/day has been lifted I hope to make between $20 and $40 a day. Then purchase a laptop so I can do even more. I don't use firefox, chrome, or IE. Opera is the only browser that works semi-well on this old laptop. I do believe this makes taking some surveys impossible, but it's better than not being able to do any at all. I've read in here for a few days but haven't finished yet. Once I've finished reading here I'll be finding other places to read and glean information =) I rarely post in forums. I decided to introduce myself so a PM wouldn't seem to be out-of-the-blue to active posters.
$40 a day sounds too optimistic, unless, of course you do transcriptions and/or writings. Anyways, welcome aboard.
