Become an Amazon affiliate, try and get as many PPC's as possible, and work hard to compete with the big forum. Put some strong SEO techniques in place for the forum alone, that in and of itself will generate the click through rates you need as an Amazon affiliate. Dont worry about a hit for the forum workers, just try and become a legitimate forum that is well-respected. That will pay some big dividends in the future. Good luck.

I like this idea. I'm already used to going over to Goodsearch before I make a purchase from Amazon so that a nonprofit I like gets a small percentage of my purchase. I'd be more than willing to shop through here to contribute to this forum's expenses.
I'd do the hits, if I remember to look for them around my other stuff. But I guess if it's based on how much you've posted, I still wouldn't make much. But still. And yeah, if there was an Amazon click-through ad, I'd shop through it to help keep the forum going. And thanks for providing the forum space, dude.
I will post a test case soon. I need to find a way to collect your worker IDs [voluntary of course] (possibly through a profile option that only I could see).
Ask every active member to PM their work ids. Or you could send a mass PM to us and give a code. You can post a hit and ask for the code in the hit.
