New Poll for Next 2 Batches (or 1 batch)

1) 1 Day: Tue (all 7000 HITs)
2) 1 Day: Wed (all 7000 HITs)
3) 1 Day: Thur (all 7000 HITs)
4) 2 Days: Tue / Wed (3500 HITs each batch)
5) 2 Days: Tue / Thur (3500 HITs each batch)
6) 2 Days: Wed / Thur (3500 HITs each batch)

 

I purposely omitted Friday since I have to report stats to the higher ups on that day.

 

I'd prefer a split batch. I voted Tuesday/Wednesday but it really doesn't matter which days they are. While the double batch a few weeks back offered plenty of work for those who could afford to stay up all night to work on it (and I gave it my best shot), I have to be up at 6 to drive my kids to their respective schools. I discovered that hauling my progeny around town on a couple of hours sleep wasn't very fun, even after a few cups of coffee.

 

I voted 2 Days: Tue / Thur but really any 2 days are fine with me. I just fit into the group of people who can turk during the day but the family is home in the afternoon I cant get a thing done.

 

If we do them all Tuesday is it possible to start them earlier?

 

I don't really think starting earlier is really fair for us west coasters though. 8am is already pretty early as is.

 

1 day, tomorrow, ONE MILLION HITS.

 

What if I do 3500 @ 10am EST and then do 3500 @ 2pm EST??

I know that it doesn't stop people who work on the earlier batch from jumping in but its the best I can do to try and accommodate both groups.

Well, you know, you Left Coasters get to skip out on the .05 cent hits and spend more time enjoying the .15 cent HITs after us Other Coasters head to bed for the night because we just can't stay awake anymore. I think it balances out, but I'm kind of a jerk.

Thanks for doing the poll, Mark. I need to go check on my coffee supply for tonight and tomorrow. It's going to be a long day.

I'm going to pull an "electoral college" on you all and side with the minority. I am going to split the batches between today and tomorrow. 11 am both batches 3500 ea.

I am doing this (as a recent and now biased father) I understand a little better that children dominate your schedule. Having said this, the reason I am splitting this is to better accommodate those that have time constraints. I figure that those that voted for the 1 day have extra time and probably won't care in the end if its 1 day after the other (sorry if my assumption is wrong).
