Hello, I'm Krit from Thailand. I just started with mturk today. Didn't do any hits yet, only finished some qualifications. Do you think it's a good idea to pick any hits that sounds good to me and just contact the requester? Nice to meet you guys
Welcome aboard. Don't hesitate to do the HITs which sounds good to you. Contact the requester if needed. It's not worth taking qualifications in random from the qualifications tab. There is tons of closed qualifications which don't have any HITs that requires them anymore. So take qualifications only if you need to work on some HITs which is actually up and running. Cheers
Welcome krittiki! If you haven't already, install the Turkopticon script on your browser. It will allow you to see how other turkers rated different requesters. This helps keep you from getting burned by scammers and bad requesters. After that, you should try any HITs that interest you. Good luck and happy turking!
