just did this, only because i'm a developer/marketer by trade and i figure if i throw enough ideas at him something's gotta stick. but he's really asking for a lot if his time frame is that small, and he doesn't provide much in the way of info about the sites he's trying to generate traffic for. if there was a magic wand that could whip up sudden new interest in your site, wouldn't everybody be using it? bracing self for rejection...

  3. plus he even says in the HIT he is preparing to reject ideas that are too general. Whatever that means.

i gave him about a dozen different strategies that are relatively easy to implement, based on SEO and analytics optimization. not sure if he'll find these too time consuming or what.

i've done hits for him in the past which were approved, and i can afford the rejection, so i figured why not...

well shit I have less hope in my ideas now if you are worried about yours with a background in marketing lol. I offered up 3 ideas but like you said, time frame, lack of information like simply a topic would have been nice. and i stated this in my answer that lack of information was very limiting.

I'm a web developer, but I don't really specialize in SEO. I just gave him basic tips I've used, but the best advice I could possible give is "Make stuff people want" and I doubt that'd go over well.

Anyway, seems like a nice guy... hope he approves.

actually i'm banking on a rejection because he really should have already done the steps i gave him, if you make or market websites it would be pretty ridiculous not to have already done them. so there's a good chance he's looking more for 'outside-the-box' kinds of ideas...

also on this 2-part survey with eligibility test, i'm getting stuck in a loop where i answer the first question then it asks for my id, then i submit the page and it returns an error that says session 1 not complete, even though the pre-test is supposed to come before session 1??

These are generalized, slow traffic-building ideas. We need specific ideas that will work immediately.

    and reeeejected

funny that you mention that, i was helping one of my friends with SEO for her cooking blog and reviewing her analytics, it turned out that the highest trafficked post was one where a picture of her used in it ended up on this really obscure site that put it with all these porn shots, even though it was just her in her kitchen, and provided a link back to the blog...
