5000 approvals? Is that the next "mark" to shoot for? I haven't seen a whole lot of hits for above 1000.

  4. That's the highest mark I've seen, albeit it's rare. I'm a little more than halfway there.

  5. man I hate all these hits that you need 98% to do i'm at 97.9 %... it's driving me crazy

5,000 Approvals is a big milestone and the one I am up against right now. A lot of HITs that are good batch jobs require 5,000 approvals. 1,000 approvals get's you most things though.

I have also seen HITs that require 15,000 and 20,000 - these were SWEET! batch jobs - but I am so far from there...

Just keep your approval percentage up by checking TO and reading the instructions. Without a 99% approval rate it can be hard to get good HITs. Anything less than 95% is about catastrophic! If you go much less than that mTurk will cancel your account - although I'm not sure of the exact percentage they do that at or how it works.

  8. Which requester screwed up your rating to 97.9, stinkymctwig?

  9. Redwood is starting to piss me off. Just a little while ago i was working on the review a transcribe and i go shower and come back and i am blocked. at least when i messaged them they got back to me right away, hopefully they camn fix it

  10. Is that an automated computer message you got?

  11. i did some turkin a few years back and got some mass rejects but i don't remember who it was but it turned me off for a while... i just came back a few weeks ago and have been slowly building back up.

At my current average daily rate, I expect I will hit 20K approvals just before Thanksgiving.

This one asks for your email address? I returned it..I think its in violation of the TOFS.

  18. how long have you been doing this?

  19. Ignore that popup you can complete it without doing that email thing.

  20. hmmm.... "they'll look into it". that's an automated computer response they sends to everyone when you contact them. Redwood hasn't responded to anyone since Jan, from what I've collected.
And I'm sorry to inform you that the block is permanent. I also has one of those for their caption requirement hits. Don't care anymore. Just a penny hit. It's been there since the time I've started turking. It was my starting days and I didn't knew I have to return the hit when the image doesn't load. :( Poor me. I've emailed them tons of times with no good.

But, I have access to transcription hits though. :)
