So somehow Amazon has failed multiple times to verify my information concerning my payments account and has in response restricted my account. So what does this mean? I can't turk anymore. I am the proud owner of 45 dollars and had turked for a total of 4 days before being restricted. I ask amazon what I can do and they kept sending my bs answers until finally they told me to make a new account. I am wary because I want to keep my mturk funds and I know I can't make another mturk account with the same ssn. I really don't know what to do. If anyone has faced this problem that would be great if you could tell me.
One thing NOT to do is start a new account. It's bizarre that someone there told you to do that. Probably a case of the left hand not knowing what the right hand is doing.
hmmmm. Thanks for the response. I'm just sending message after message to amazon customer service and nothing is happening. I really want to get to my funds. I even offered to provide any extra information.
There is probably nothing on your end you can do about this but wait. Amazon Payments is having a major glitch and you are not the only one having issues at the moment. Definitely call Payments customer service. I first attempted to send two emails, but they were both ignored/unread. When I called though they said they'd forward my info to the right people and it got sorted out in two or three days. So now my account is no longer suspended and I was able to send 40 dollars to my bank account (still have to wait 5-7 days for that to go through though).
Ah you guys are awesome. I looked up the number to call,l though, I got a couple ones. I feel silly for asking, but could you post the information?
Getting suspended and getting your account back is just a wait and watch game on mturk. there is nothing you can do.
Dont worry,,, you will get your fund within few days. Mturk will give the fund of suspended accounts. But it will take more time. Just wait 4 week.
I have the same problem here . They think that we can work for them and than they can suspend our accounts so they can get the funds . I lost $60 :| ...
