yeah that's what i do too, i consider 25-30 sec. the fastest i can do it if i find the course right away, and longer if i have to dig for it. it just sounds like you're either finding the exact term you enter the first time you search or submitting it as not available. many of these schools require quite a bit of digging, especially the ones that have multiple engineering/computer science departments. just sounds too fast to be thorough.
make sure you click somewhere on the pdf then hit ctrl+f, the browser's own search won't search a pdf, the pdf's search needs to take over, so the pdf needs to 'have the focus', which you give to it by clicking on it... the search box will be on the upper right of the screen if it's correct...
IS rubin like crowflower and crowdsource barely any rejections? sorry for all the questions rubin newbie here
actually, that's one example of a course i rarely find. sometimes there's an equivalent, but i have not seen many intro to electrical engineering courses, or intro to computer science for that matter. usually it's something like 'intro to electronics' or 'intro to circuits', or for CS, 'intro to programming'...
Sacramento City College http://www.scc.losrios.edu/Documents/catalog/sccatalog12-13.pdf College of Southern Idaho http://www.csi.edu/catalog/catalog1213.pdf Northern Illinois University http://www.reg.niu.edu/regrec/courses/semester/spring.PDF
Google the university with the word "course catalog", find the catalog, ctrl + f, profit If you can't search them download Sumatra PDF, it's free, opens a lot quicker than Adobe, and is a lot smaller
Wow. Haven't been around in a couple days because I have been sick. Rubin dropped his pay. That sucks!
I know most people are doing Rubins, but is anyone doing Classify This? There is no "Click Here" button to access the site on FF, Chrome, or Opera. I think it's a Java issue, but I'm not too sure. I had to downgrade my Java to get it working in Chrome, now the other browsers don't work. EDIT: It's a Java issue. Classify This needs Java 7, and I downgraded to 6 yesterday. Chrome doesn't support 7 apparently, so I'm stuck using Opera or FF. Ugh. EDIT: The new upgrade isn't working.
Sas, is the current Rubin batch as annoying as the batches from last night? I think I may be a little too tired to do any more of them if that is the case.
If by annoying you mean each one you accept is a new little obscure college, then yes. Plus they're only .20
haha no, these are mostly 4 year schools that actually have most of these courses... i also notice that he got rid of some of the more marginal courses in these latest batches - intro to solid state, human-computer interaction, natural language processing - i haven't seen any of those...
