Hello everyone, I'd like to give a big "thank you" to everyone that gave me feedback in regards to setting up a bonus program for people that work on my HITS. I just finished running the reports and here are the bonus details: A $20 bonus will be sent to any worker that had at least 45 HITS accepted from us last week. A $10 bonus will be sent to any worker that had at least 25 HITS accepted from us last week. Here are the recipient information details for each bonus: $20 bonus - 3 recipients #1 - 177 HITS accepted #2 - 171 HITS accepted #3 - 51 HITS accepted $10 bonus - 4 recipients #1 - 31 HITS accepted #2 - 27 HITS accepted #3 - 27 HITS accepted #4 - 25 HITS accepted It gives me great pleasure to say that without the conversations that I have had on this forum, I would not have been able to implement this so quickly. I think it is very important to keep the lines of communication open between workers and requesters. I also now know (thanks in part to feedback received from this forum) that establishing and maintaining a financial reward for workers that consistently take the time to submit high quality work is an absolute MUST. I also want to say that I know it does not end here. In the very near future, we will expand our list of job types and issue qualifications so that we can designate the workers that have access to these higher paying HITS. We are already hard at work developing an application that is being designed from the ground up to eliminate 95% of our rejections and 99% of blocks. We also have begun the process of creating a blog that will serve as a FAQ for workers that have issues/questions with our HITS. My goal is simple, I want no question/issue/complaint to go unanswered. I want to create and maintain a great deal of transparency between us and our workers. We want to go out of our way to reward the workers that take pride in their submissions. Needless to say, I am very excited about the progress that has been made so far. KJ
Mr. KJ, If there was a Requester of the year award, you would get my vote. :first: Thank you for taking the time to address the issues with the Turkers.
Just wanted to let you know that because of your presence here, I tried one of your hits. It was quickly approved, and I am sure I'll be working with you more. Thanks
Hiya! Thank you so much for your continued involvement. I have yet to do one of your tasks but look forward to them... When do you usually post them?
Psst, Phase and The Lion, Check his FAQ thread out. It's got all the details. (Also, it's sticky. What's not to love?)
It is my pleasure to be here, and the fact that you tried one of my HITS further proves the point that requesters and workers need to have more interaction. Thanks for the feedback
Hi Rob, We post Monday - Friday at 9am central. We don't post on holidays and I have given my staff off on Friday, so we won't post again until this coming Monday. My signature contains a direct link to my HITS. KJ
Thanks Naturegirl... I missed that - and I'm not the one that stickied it... I read the forum a while back with the daily reports but didn't catch the new posts. Thanks again for your tireless dedication in pointing out my lack of attention to detail...
Mr. Ross, This week, I didn't have unlimited time to do your HITs, so I adjusted how many I accepted with the expectation that there were would be some on Friday so that I could get over the bonus threshold I wanted. Actually, while I was doing your HITs today, the comments I received back when they were approved indicated that you would have HITs on Friday. Any chance you'll be a bit lenient this week with your bonus thresholds? I'm stuck just missing the threshold now. LOL, lion, that is NEVER how I've meant it. I'm just the kind of person who notices such things. But it's not personal. I hope you don't take it that way! I'd pull a thorn out of your paw any day and would never mean to be one.
Yes, I will figure out a way to prorate the bonuses. I actually had to force the editor to take Friday off, she was initially resistant to the idea of taking off on Friday. I was able to eventually convincer her though.
Appreciated, on the prorating. (LOL, about your editor. Sounds like a good person to have on your side. That's great!)
