I made almost 50 friday and 35 thursday. About 20 every other day. Not too bad, but I'm used to more.

How do you do it? I'm at a little over 1k approved and can barely scratch $10-$15 on a decent day.

Once you get in a rhythm with high paying surveys and batches, it's not that hard to make $20 a day. If I don't make $20 on a weekday I'm pretty bummed. Weekends I try to crack $10 each day.

Let me know how easy/hard that is. I so want to get in on that, and I think I'd do a great job, but I'm always so nervous about trying it out.

    Good luck!

I've found that it's mostly time of day you get on. I'm always on at about 3-4 in the am and I turk all day long until about 4 pm. Yes, long days. But, it's my only source of income. If you're willing to put that much time in (or have to, like me), I recommend getting up early. I've noticed the better hits are in the AM. Like on Friday, I made $24 before 9 am. At like 4 am, a requester, Riu Zhang, put up a repeatable $1.50 hit with a 2 hour timer that only took about 8 minutes to do. It's sometimes the luck of the draw, but my method is to always be working on something. If it's a slow day, like today, I'll have a crowdsource/crowflower day and always work. If you're not actively turking, you're not making anything.

Has anyone noticed Crowdflower has surveys up, some of them at 1.50 to 2.00, and when you open them, you get the message, "Not Found

That URL doesn't lead to anything, as far as we can tell. If you followed a bad link, please let us know where you found the bad link by dropping us a note in our community forum: https://www.getsatisfaction.com/crowdflower?"

    What is up with that?

I tried it last time it was up for $2 and $8 bonus if you get the qual. I didn't get it, but they provided me some feedback. What I did then was take an existing article and rewrite it. They said it was well written, but they wanted completely original work. It was original, kind of. lol Nothing was copy/pasted or plagiarized, but the main points from the original article was also in mine. This time I'm going to focus on writing completely original content.

Also, I wrote about 600 words. From what I hear, 300 is acceptable. They will tell you what you did wrong so you can improve the next time. Also, they won't reject, they will just approve and write reasons and stuff next to it to help you out. Very nice requester imo. Good luck!

Greetings all. I've been lurking for the past 2 weeks since I started turking. Finally decided to join.

As a lurker I just wanted to maybe suggest something. I figure the whole goal of this is to make us all more efficient at getting money right? I dont know if this is already a 'rule' and people just arent doing it or not. It would be really helpful for a lot of us though if we had a 'format'.

    Here is my suggestion:

Some people already do something simliar, but ive noticed a lot who just copy and paste a lot of information, but with no link and its like ugh... i dont wanna search for this persons name then find the hit etc.. Just takes away from the 'efficiency' part. Or it also sucks for newbies like myself who have less than 500 hits and i waste time going to something that I dont have access to do.

All that aside I really like the help finding good hits!
In my 2 weeks of random turking part time while im just killing time ive racked up about $115 to date! I usually only do whats on this thread and subreddit.

Anyway ill shut up now. Look forward to turking/chatting with you guys through here! (PS HIT in quote is actually valid)

EDIT: I actually suggested this to the admin from his welcome message. Not sure if he reads it or not, another one would be to move the top 'thanks' to the beginning of the thread for ppl who arrive late. This could filter out ppl who just wanna turk and not read through all the random chat messages. Just another suggestion i dropped.

  19. I think CrowdFlower has a system of deliberately defrauding it's workers.

I've gotten the following message about five times with one hit over the past 15 minutes, after I finish and submit my hit:

    "Oh no!

It looks like this page has a bug preventing it from loading properly.
The engineers have been sent a strongly-worded email, and they should be fixing the problem shortly.
Hit the browser's Reload button to try again."

And when I go to reload, I don't get the same hit, it's a completely different hit.

I feel as my previous hit has been received, they put that phony "Oh No" message, claiming "they didn't receive it" when in fact, they really do.

And of course, I don't get paid because "OH NO" they didn't receive it.

    Something really fishy about that...
