For one of the writing areas i put something about how that situation never happened to me then decided to just return the survey just in case they reject me for only writing one sentence.
okay, i think i remember this one now. returned it the first time it came around, saw a question i couldn't answer and i think a bunch of text fields for writing. jeez. ask me about nondisjunctive meiosis. or the 20th century bildungsroman. or why the giants should play against college teams the rest of the way to have a chance of making the playoffs. this is almost as bad as "TAKE FIVE MINUTES TO WRITE ABOUT A TIME YOU WERE INTERNALLY BLEEDING. HOW DID IT FEEL? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?"
Sometimes the questions are really that awful and obtuse. sometimes i just want to write "OH YEAH LIKE I REALLY WANT TO THINK ABOUT THE WORST DAY OF MY LIFE." and leave it at that.
I think I saw it mentioned earlier in the thread but wasn't there supposed to be a uconn after the election follow up survey. I haven't received any email from them and I don't see any uconn hits up.
it's bonus-based, so it's probably just a url to qualtrics. i emailed, they emailed back asking for my ID to see why i didn't get the email with the link, but they haven't gotten back to me since, and it's been an hour...
The same part of me that re-uses as much code as possible and gets annoyed at people re-inventing the wheel has thought about writing three or four generic tokenized templates full of search-and-replacey goodness that I can just copy and paste into those... I'd never do it I don't think, but the temptation is there every time.
hahaha!! those questions really are that bad. I understand it's for the study and whatnot but come on, the last survey was asking you to DESCRIBE and say how you felt for a situation they just assumed you've been in. How they assume that the average person has been in this situation is nuts. They should have had "If you haven't been in this situation describe what your leg is thinking" or whatever. And usually I can just come up with something, but not for that one.
10/28, The Presidential Election and Your Daily Life, requester = uconn psych got an email thursday as a reminder, but never got the follow-up with the link today...
