The problem with smartsheet is not that they are a crowdsourcing platform, the problem is that they take no responsibility for rejections or answer any questions. From my limited understanding, Crowdflower operates the same way. They are a crowdsourcing platform which is why they have such varied hits with such different levels of pay. Crowdflower at least has quality control, which as frustrating as it is, prevents rejections.
I have a preference for requesters but I'm not putting my trust in any of them. If they can't communicate with people that do their work, I won't be doing it anymore. That's just the way I feel.
i've only been rejected by smartsheet once, i've probably done 100-200 hits for them in different batches, and if i remember correctly the rejection was my fault, i copied a title instead of a url into a field... but i can understand how their business model might lead to lots of issues... i really think amazon should force people like this, and like raphael mudge, and others who are only acting as go-betweens, to take responsibility for the outcome of their hits...
I did 33 of the smartsheets. Hope I did them okay. As long as the number, name of the street, city and zip were the same I still said Yes even if there was a suite on one end. Oh well.
samehere. like if south was in the wrong place, i still said yes. I did not do a lot so if they get reject, then oh well.
Good luck and I hope the best for you. I got 26,000 approved with a 99.9% rating, and they rejected 4 of my 10 and 6 are pending.
i saw a bunch which were obvious typos, like it should have been 168 but said 1668 on a short road that likely didn't go up that far in addresses, i tried to return most of those, or put 'no' if other elements were wrong... might get a few rejections which i can take, i just kind of hate myself for taking chances when there's so little else to do... ... but there's so little else to do...
i have never been rejected by them but i'm pretty sure people on here has said that thy've mas rejected in the past so when i do those, i make sure not to over do it.
You mean for this very batch? Have they already started approving/rejecting? They always took more than 24 hours.
Lori, I sent you a pm about a question. And Netmsi, can take long amounts of time to approve. I forgot what the Auto Approval is on which ones, but I think some are up to like 14 days.
Netmsi rejects when you mess their stuff up -- the subjective ones (the titling ones) have very specific rejection criteria which can be found here http://mturkforum.com/showthread.ph...Ts.-Here-are-some-guidelines&highlight=netmsi short version: don't be repetitive...if you run out of adjectives, quit doing them. The rest only reject when you really screw up: call a black guy white, call a dude a chick, miss an person entirely.
