I have a chromebook from their original pilot program, the CR-48. Chromebooks are actually extremely nice. When they were first testing them, they weren't really that great. But the improvements they've made to the os have been amazing. I'd say get one for sure! Edit: It's worth noting that I do turk from my chromebook frequently.

Ouch, I got one of the first netbooks too, Acer Aspire One with 8GB drive. Its horribly slow and I cant stand to use it for much more than email. It has found a new life as a home security cam.
none of my netbooks ever lasted past the year...I had 2 and they both broke a few weeks after the year warranty ended
I just gave up my 7.5 year old HP laptop with XP. I picked up a $300 Lenovo with Windoze 8. Kinda wish I'd heard about Chromebook a couple of weeks ago, but so far I'm reasonably happy with the Lenovo. Still trying to get over missing XP. Oh well...
