Soft Block!

 

I went to accept a hit for which I met the qualifications and here's what appeared above the HIT:

"The Requester (Intuition_Gal) has chosen to prevent you from working on any of this Requester's HITs.
There are a variety of reasons for Requesters to prevent particular Workers from completing their HITs."

Should I be concerned? I don't think I've ever done a hit for this person before, and have never received an email about being blocked. I have a hard block from Research Group already (from a HIT they accepted and paid me for...and they don't respond to my emails on the subject).

 

I just did the hit you guys are talking about, but they didn't provide an email. Do I just email through her name on the dashboard?

 

The same thing happened to me.

 

Yep, I got the same message. The hard block from the Research Group is still the one that gives me a wedgie.

 

Hmm, wonder if I'll get a soft block now that I've done one of her hits. LOL! Maybe we should be avoiding this requestor.

For those who did the 1.50 hit yesterday, it looks like they have created the bonus hit for it.

 

Anytime you get a soft block it's just the requesters way of preventing you from working on that current survey. You must have worked on something of theirs earlier. They just want new workers, it's nothing to worry about but email them if you need peace of mind.

 

I emailed tagasauris last night and never heard back. I'm still worried about them. I heard they give mass rejections.

I also emailed CUPS and they replied within minutes!

I need to stop being so paranoid.

 

I have done thousands of there and never had any rejects.... the tagasauris ones

Took me 4 minutes....survey is supposed to be for Freelancers, so I think as a turker it applies...

A healthy dose of paranoia is required on Mturk.
Today I got 311 reject from a batch of 500+ I did for operation Chen, "Name Guess" The hit was easier or as easy as SET. Totally subjective and he wrote everyone back saying, we answered the question too fast. Seriously, spent most of the night trying to resolve this $3.11 -what a time killer & it's eastimated if Chen doesn't make good on his word to reverse the rejects that I'll have to do 14K hits to get back to 98%. UGH, be cautious, try not to learn the hard way like me.

 

You guys got mass rejected on Chen? He approved and paid all mine today. I actually stared at the people and tried to guess their names though so I dunno, maybe I took a little bit longer than you guys lol. No longer than 10 seconds each though, I'm sure of it.

Also, I only did 15 because I wasn't to sure about him anyway.

 

he's trying to reverse it, but i doubt he will reverse mine, i told him to die.

 

Yup,
A few turkers said that they only did a handful and they were all accepted, but those of us who did large quantities me 500+ (311 rejected), a few others who did anywhere from 400 to 900 hits got mass rejects.
Chen says he will reverse and apologized for the 'strictness' of his hit, not sure what the hell he meant by that. So far no reversal. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be doing the reversal dance!!! Cause right now I'm in deep.

 

LOL - you can't be serious? How'd you do that? I emailed him 311 times back with the reversal code and a nasty note but I didn't take it quite that far.
