This time got Dentists name instead of centers name, and also most of them are without office hours.

On the cookie cutter sites by TeleVox, the fax and hours seem to always be on the “appointment request” page.

    Re: the office hours

Some of these practices have Facebook pages and the office hours may sometimes be found there.

    Alright People,

In my haste to put a file out yesterday, I accidentally ran a file through a HIT that the data was not intended for. Rest assured this will not prevent you from getting paid and it will not reverse any payment you have already received. The data was for dentists, and ran through the Facility HIT. I am now working to obtain the remainder of the information that did not run through yet (13.8k records) so that I can re-post them in the correct Dentist HIT format. This format, some of you have seen, does not include indicating the address type, or providing URLs, or office hours.

I apologize for this, and will put up a new batch as soon as I can.

For all of you who asked questions, I will get around to answering them *after* the batch is back up as some of your questions may still be relevant to future encounters you may face working with this type of information.

Just note, I have received 97 emails so far, so it may take me a few days to get back to you. If it is something urgent, please ask the question on here as many of your fellow co-workers on here may already know the answer.

    Thank you,

    ~ Mark L.

I would really love to work on your hits, but honestly I'm rather frustrated and PO'd to say the least.

I got my 85 qual, then to 70. Then back to 85 then to 70. Then you put it back to 85 last week and said you don't know why it keeps changing. I did 12 hits of the batch this morning, then I come back and it's back to 70 again!? What gives? I've done about 30 of your hits including my qual batch. It's incredibly frustrating when you have a batch up and I can't work on it because of maybe a glitch? I have no idea, but I would really like my qual back. I hope you can get to it before all your hits are gone.

You sent me this last time:

    Hello Renee,

I'm not sure whats up with your score. According to your history you had an 85, which dropped to 70 back in October, then jumped back up to 85 again and then droped down again to 70. I'm going to give you the 85 and hopefully it dosen't change again.

    Thanks,

    ~ Mark L.

I had the same problem when I first received the qualification. I would do two hits and my qualification would drop. Last time it dropped I re-did the qualification hits while waiting to hear back from Mark. When he adjusted my score it stayed at 85 and hasn't dropped since. I don't know if redoing the qualification hits is what did it or not. Hopefully you can get it sorted.

This only happened to me with the address hits. I had no problems with the finding additional medical info or URL hits.

    Hello Naisybee,

I can't apologize enough for this, but please believe me when I say I feel your frustration. I am still new to this, and I hate to use that excuse but the truth of the matter is that I am only about 4 months into doing this. I work my hardest to do things well/correctly but I do make many mistakes as I learn my way through this.

I beg your patience when things like this happen as I do not intend for them to happen in the first place. Understand also that most everything that happens in our system is automated and 95% of the time, I did not initiate the action. Also know that you are not alone, which you may already know since many workers encounter this problem.

I try to resolve them as quickly as possible and I realize it is frustrating to see tasks sit there while you cannot work on them.

Your score should have been reset already, and if not email me so I can do it straight away.

Again I deeply apologize for this and ask that you be patient with me when things like this happen.

    ~ Mark L.

    Mark -

People have been holding off working on the HITs because of the issue you discussed this morning. The HITs that are up are still the format asking for Facility Name. We'd appreciate knowing from you how/when to proceed.

    Thanks.

    Hello Kris,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I attempted to take it down this morning. It seems like it resisted or didnt go through for some reason.

Do not continue with this batch. Ignore it and will let you know when the corrected batch is up.

    Thank you,

    ~ Mark L.

It is finally down. Want to make sure everything is ok before I go posting another one back up.

    Alright Everyone,

It seems like the major problem, that seems to persist is that when I update your score manually after you take one of our tests the system notices that your test score is low. When this happens it reverts your score back. I do not know why it happens for some people and not everyone, but now that I've identified the problem. I am working to fix it and test it *thoroughly* so that this never happens again.

Please be patient, and expect that another batch will not be posted today.

    Thank you,

    ~ Mark L.

Was going to shoot off an email to you, Mark, but decided to check in. That makes a lot of sense. I did several hundred HITs but found it odd that you wanted a practice name. I only populated that field for an actual practice name; e.g. Krazy Kidz Smiles. I didn't when it was something like John Smith, DDS. I also believe you guys ran out of account money around 6 AM EST?

All of my work from Tue and Wed was approved and paid.

There is no rule saying MedCrowd has to pay as soon as the work is submitted. It's not like days are passing by. They obviously trust us to do the work which is why they approve and pay so quickly so have a little faith in them if it takes a bit longer than normal to get paid, if that was even the case, I don't know.

It feels like no other Requester comes to this forum and works as much with us as Mark L. and maybe we just need to let him breathe. He is bombarded with constant emails and comments here, to me it seems like the same questions over and over again; why don't I have the qualification, when are you going to put up a qualifying batch, I know it's been mentioned many times before that I shouldn't work on the qualifying batches if I already have the qualification but I worked on the qualifying batch after having the qualification and my score dropped please fix it.

Some of us have real questions. wonkatonka had a good question, a need for clarification regarding the facilities name.

It's just crazy. I'm not saying that all the questions have been asked and answered or that there isn't some valid one's out there. I just can't imagine being a Requester and dealing with the some of the same questions over and over again.

    Sorry for the rant.

On another note, this questions is for the Turkers, how is it that all through out yesterday (Tuesday), for about 10 hours only about a 3 to 4,000 dent was put on that last batch and somehow in the 6 hours I slept twice that amount got done. There were only about 4,500 left when I woke up. Are there mostly night owls working on these?

@Bertha you are absolutely right, no other requester is sparing us like Mark, We are very grateful to Mark for his tremendous response and accountability of his process. Now Mark is highly popular requester in mturk and most of them known about him from this forum and may from some mouth passing.
At this point i would like to request fellow turkers do not urge in to raising queries which are no where meaning to current process.
And also a small suggestion, if there are more batches are coming in near future it would be better if anyone starts separate thread for 1. Qualifications for Medcrowd hits 2. Clarifications on Medcrowd hits.
So that Mark Inbox will not flooded up and there will be some clarity in work process to all.

    Good Morning All,

Thank you very much for your kind words. Its nice to hear after a day like yesterday. I do want to look into the idea of maybe having 2 separate threads as riyazalikhan recommends above; but this would happen later.

It seems like I have fixed the problem. But! Before I put another batch out I want to test it again because I really do want to put out as much work as I can before I leave for vacation as mentioned earlier in the thread.

For those of you who wait for a qualification batch, it may come if I see that 1) nothing bad happens with the batch and 2) I don't get a lot of emails from workers about the HIT.

For those of you waiting to hear feedback about a qualification you have already taken, I will begin looking through these when the batch is up.

Wonkatonka, the intended batch will also ask for practice name for the dentists. Even if it is the dentists name, a lot of the time, this is actually the name of the practice i.e. "Jason E. Fragoli DDS PA" or "Fragoli PC". In these cases as long as it is consistent across the site (home page, footer, above address on contact us/about our office pages) then it is safe to assume that is the practice name.

As for the batch ending at 6am, yes we did run low on funds which caused it to dissapear. I did speak to the finance guy to get some more yesterday, so it should last longer than it did before, but I make no promises the way you all attack the HITs like pirrahnas haha.

I do not mind the repetative questions, as long as they are coming from new people haha. Also for future reference please all take note:

Before you dive into a batch (even though we have a fail-safe in place, and we have fixed this score dropping issue) Please check to ensure that the HIT you are working on is not a qualification batch by checking one of the two following things:

    1) the description or keywords do not contain the word "qualification"
    2) the HIT does not require any Medcrowd qualification (at this time there are only 2: Medical Information, Medical URL).

If you do this you will know if it is a qualification batch or if it is a regular batch.

Please keep an eye out on the thread for an update soon. I would like to get this batch up in the next hour after testing.

    Thanks again,

    ~ Mark L.
