I think it comes with time, once you know all of the categories you can kind of navigate through them a little faster. When they first brought these they used to take me forever too, now I do them in about 1-1.5... unless my computer decides to act like an ass
Hi Boys Gurls and Turk -eys. What's cookin? Don't see a lot out there, need to hit my magic mike figure of at least $3.00 projected for the night! Currently sitting at $1.71 arrrrrgh!
mine either.. i sent an e-mail today as a gentle reminder that i still had some pending.. but i am guessing with all the new projects they are putting up it will take some more time.. i wish it would speed up though i plan on doing these all day tomorrow
Well, I guess no more turking for me until the problem with amazon payments account is resolved. They asked me to verify my amazon payments account yesterday and I responded promptly (they asked for the last 4 digits of my ssn). This morning they told me that the verification process was unsuccessful and that I was told to verify my account again by giving the same information I gave them yesterday. This afternoon I received an email saying that unfortunately they couldn't verify my account and that my account is restricted now to only withdrawing funds (unable to send and receive). When I first saw this message, I thought unable receiving money only from another Personal Amazon Payments accounts, but I found out that it actually includes receiving money from mechanical turk). I had $6 failed payments from today and more approved pending payments that I probably will lose (which sucks big time). I hope those $6 failed payments are reversible. I tried sending them a message, but I suppose I won't be getting an answer until tomorrow the earliest. Anyone ever had this problem before? I'm so sad. It's actually not only about the money, but also about the hours I have invested working there.
I had the same thing happen to me around 3 weeks ago, 2 account verifications. But that's where it ended. Hope it'll work out.
It happened to me about a month and a half ago. I kept entering my ss # but using my married name which wouldn't verify because I never changed my name with ss, except I was too dumb to realize that the first 2 times...so I had to get someone on the phone and explain the issue and how I made the mistake and they resolved it quickly. I think I called at like 9 am and by 5 I got the email saying my account was in good standing. During this time, your turk payments that you are still earning are going to fail when they try to send to your Amazon payments account but they will go through later. It'll get resolved but call them, don't let this be an email issue because it will not get straight...or it might but it will take longer.
How was it solved? Did they ask you to verify your account again? Did you have any failed payments because of that issue that were reversed? Or did it just work out automatically somehow?
Thanks guys! Good to know it's not just me. I started getting a little nervous looking at the tags we were supposed to moderate today. I've been traumatized by smurf porn, give me my money already!
I'm planning to call them tomorrow morning. The name of my amazon payments account and my ss card are different (I used my initial middle name on the amazon payments account and no initial middle name on the social security card--maybe that's the problem, I don't know).
I had the exact same problem over the weekend.. I e-mailed amazon payments directly and they fixed it
https://www.mturk.com/mturk/accept?...gMTitzZKm160lGa5+o=&/accept.x=38&/accept.y=15 $2.00 ~8 mins. No TO but with the uni of colorado
that's probably the issue also when your account gets back in good standing, message them about those failed payments. I messaged them and they fixed the issue rather quickly (after the second email)
lol.. is it that bad? I am about to do a few to check them out... people said the last batch was bad but I only had a few crazy ones
Parse information from U.S. Customs and Border Protection press releases https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=2C4PHMVHVKCJ713L1YVJF9KQ368358 These are only worth 0.05 and they used to be undoable because of the asstastic DHS web site the press releases were hosted on. Now they are hosting the article themselves (embedded in the HIT) and they are pretty fast. Their TO is OK
I really like these.. I am a college student in my masters program for criminal justice with a concentration in criminal behavior so to me these are kinda cool.. just something different
