I honestly do not need anyone policing me on the forum. I've been on this forum since August and I have the common sense to know what to say and what not to say. But thanks.
I used to own my own business and I remember someone calling and trying to sell me some kind of internet advertisement stuff (they always said.."If someone Googles you.")..Basically you pay so that your name comes up at the top of the list when some one searches certain key words. So the fact that most of the CS searches come up with someone/company related to some huge negative thing is the point on us doing them...they are trying to save face, still be out there and not be a has been.
That makes sense, and is interesting to know! I was wondering what those really did for the companies and usually when I work on them its the same ones over and over...
It's not about policing you but since I joined I have seen a huge decline on survey Hits...Universities/Researchers don't trust turkers anymore. Search it, there are articles out there. The more you share, as insignificant as it may seem to you, it matters to them.
I did not AND HAVE NEVER shared anything about the surveys or studies on here. I agree that I have seen people on here giving away a lot of information on this forum though.
This is called SEO (search engine optimization) if you want to waste some time learning about online marketing look it up. I promise you it's as boring as it sounds.
Okay guys we are all adults here to make money and we are here to help one another. i am not trying to be a b**** but the nick picking is getting old. I am all for us having convo's with each other and complain about the ones that are not worth our time because we are not slave labor. Me personally would love to have a job but this right now is my full time job and i dont want to see any one nick picking with each other. All i am saying is sometimes we slip up and say something, but it is a rare occasion when we slip up and say something. I have been here 2 weeks and latly i have noticed there has been a lot more arguing and pointing out when someone says something they should not have. the more we bicker the more attention we will bring to ourselves. we need to learn to just ignore things. if someone slips and post's something about a survey pm them nicley and ask them to take it down. thre is no reason to bring it to everyones attention and make that one person feel bad that they said something
