I got a Western Union prepaid card and it comes with a routing number, so it can be used as a bank direct deposit account. And there are no fees.
And with the Western Union card, I can cash out at night, and it will be in there the next day, except for the weekends. I am very happy with it.
Thanks, maybe I'll do the western union card then. I don't want to send it to my normal bank acct, because right now, I'm needing a separate Christmas fund, Christmas KILLS us every year. if it goes right into my bank, I'll end up spending it on something else. lol.
I know how you feel. I had a credit union acct from my work and I had 100.00 taken out of every paycheck (every two weeks) and I purposefully didn't get a debit card, just for the main reason was for Christmas and my kids birthdays (in July) and my husband would beg me to get a card and I refused, that is the only way I could afford it.
Yeah, I have to "hide" money from myself for future stuff, otherwise I spend it. And even sometimes when it IS hidden, I spend it. lol. I have to set up my bills to come out every two weeks automatically when my paycheck deposits, otherwise, I end up spending before paying them. It sucks, but at least I'm AWARE that I'm horrible with money. lol.
My husband, now ex, after 20 glorious years!!! would have spent it all on beer and cigarettes! I actually had this big stuffed fish on the wall that he made the NJ record for striped bass and I hated it, but I would actually hide the car payment in the mouth!! That way I knew he didn't think I had money!!! sad,but true
I've noticed that too. I had a friend lose their account when they had $350 saved up and a few hundred pending. I lost my account when I had $210 saved up and around $150 pending. Amazon gets all that money, so it's not surprising. Pretty sick when you consider that Amazon is a billion dollar company stealing money from people like us.
I do a payout at 50. It's aggravating doing it like that because there are times you have to do 2 payouts in one day... but I don't like too much money sitting in my account for obvious reasons. And don't mistake my wording to mean I make 100 a day... lol... sometimes things pay all at once from previous days work... there's only been a handful of days I've made well over 50.
I have a question about this. Once you get paid, doesn't it go into your amazon payments account? Not an MTurk account?
Paypal has to have a routing and account numbers to send and receive money from your checking account. Call them up and see if they can help. Plus I think if you have the money in Amazon Payments you are fine - in Mturk maybe not 100% safe..
Yes, it does. When you click on account overview, it makes you sign in to amazon payments. There you can see how much you have been paid, look at monthly "statements" and see your initiated and completed bank withdraws.
That's what I thought. Then how do you lose money if something happens because it wouldn't be in MTurk, it would be in your amazon payments, which is separate.
Last week,I ordered something from Amazon and when I signed into my account and went to the check out,it showed my MTurk balance and gave me the option of using it for the purchase or selecting a different payment option. Speaking only for myself,if they ever closed my MTurk account for any reason,I figure there is enough of a magnetic trail for me to get back the money, even if it takes a payment cycle to get it. I read the posts above, but I read those quickly, just skimming? Are there any posted examples from persons who have been denied money they have earned? I ask that because as an Amazon customer,I'm happy. They even get my returns correct.
Unfortunately not. I had $210 in my Amazon Payments account and was unable to transfer when they suspended me.
For future reference to anyone who's in smorg's situation, your account number will also be on your statements, online billing and even your debit card. Banks also post their ABA number online, which is part of the "routing" number. Here's BoA's page and you can select your state and such. http://www.bankofamerica.com/deposits/checksave/index.cfm?template=lc_faq_aba
I've left money in for months at a time if it was just a little bit. I use my account for more than just turking so it doesn't bother me. Plus I only do about one large HIT every day/every other day so I don't have a fear of being suspended.
It all depends on how broke I am. I usually try to pull it out every 2 weeks or every 1000 which ever comes 1st.
