I am 30k+ approvals and have NEVER been timed out from the captchas. You would think they might make a capcha qual with some ridiculous amount like 50k+ approved hits with no time outs from captchas. I wouldn't mind earning it to be able to do away with them. =] I can dream.... and yes that is all this was.. a insignificant dream.
That would be nice. Those Captcha's always seem to come up at the worst possible time, like when I'm browsing through CW's HITs looking for clear audio.
Heard from one of my folks that sometime they get u rid off the captcha shit once we complete a higher number of Hits..He said he got it done in 50K Hits but it seems they have now extended it to 1L..No idea how far this is good to be true..An authentic info will be deeply appreciated doh
They have a captca qual hun, it's called the masters qual. Unfortunately that is the only way to get rid of them. There is no magic hit number that gets you there. I know of a turker with 750,000+ hits that still has captchas. Sorry.

LOL well considering he has been doing it quite a bit longer then I have and I have 280,000+ and I still breathe I would assume so. No millionaires that I know of yet though.
But i bet ye if ppl in my nation can earn the same wage as Americans do we all are gona get a bit rich in a few months

MTurk has in fact created some millionaires. But all of them are requesters. Yup. We're all on the wrong end of MTurk. The original Oscar sold his business to LinkedIn for a couple of million.
Oh, it is. The end customers pay twenty-five cents for each business card they have transcribed, while Oscar's paying the transcribers two cents a pop. Even if he has each one done three times over in order to be sure he gets a good result, and pays that much again in other office overhead (which he probably doesn't) he's still got more than 50% profit at the end of each transaction, and the volume is incredible. He posts what? Tens of thousands of hits a day? Yeah. He got filthy rich off exploiting us.
A mass petition from all turkers to Mturk regarding the matter requestin em to demand Oscar to increase his pay...Will that do some good to end this injustice ? :O 0.10$ per transcribed card...I wud call that satisfactory and worth the time myself !!
I'd sign the petition, but I guarantee you Amazon would just ignore it. It's not as if we could back it up by going on strike. Amazon loves Oscar. They don't care what Oscar or any other requester does to us as long as they get their cut.
And to strengthen your words....I feel Oscar wud never care for the commissions that Amazon charges requesters for the work they post as they already earn a big profit from what they do to squeeze out the blood of workers who are indebted on his task..Somehow if this is stopped I would be glad.My prayers hoplessly still remains towards a better future of workers who do this task regularly !!
