I just was emailed by Mturk that my account was suspended for being low rate. After rejecting 2400 HITs I wrote 2 emails to Alex Baron to beg him to save me or give me a feedback and I didn't get any responses.I still have 7300 HITs of his still in pending.I don't know whether they are active and my account will get active in someday?
Wow! I feel for you! He approved all my hits but I still have a few pending from him...but the majority have been approved! I'm not sure what you should do if your account has been suspended. That's a lot of rejections. I try not to do that many for one requester unless I have done some to test the waters to make sure they aren't going to reject me! Have you contacted MTurk to see if they can help you in any way?
I have tried 700 hits before and all got approved. So I have the gut to take that big risk. And now what? I contacted mturk they can't do nothing excepte saying bulshit. Hi Jen Thank you for contacting us. I'm sorry for the experience that you've had with requesters on our site. Please know that we take all claims of misuse of our services seriously and investigate each one. We continually monitor the HITs in the system and when we find misuse, we take action quickly to remove these HITs. If a HIT violates Amazon Mechanical Turk policies (https://www.mturk.com/mturk/help?helpPage=policies) or the HIT isn't displaying or working properly, please report that to us. To report a problem with a HIT, go to the HIT and scroll down to the bottom of the page. Then click "violates the Amazon Mechanical Turk policies" or "broken" as appropriate. I would also recommend the implementation of third party tools such as http://turkopticon (http://turkopticon.differenceengines.com/) In answer to your question about requesters undoing rejections, yes it is possible for requesters to do rejections by way of our API tools. If you have further questions, please contact us at: http://www.mturk.com/mturk/contactus I apologize again for any inconvenience that you may have experienced but I hope that this is helpful to you. Thank you for your inquiry. Did I solve your problem? Huh you lost me at "I still have 7300 HITs of his still in pending.I don't know whether they are active and my account will get active in someday" Are you saying your account is suspended ???
Why the hell would you do over 7000 HITs for a requester without waiting to see if some approve first?
So the requester was Alex Baron? It took him almost a month to approve 200 of my HITS but he did approve them. Did he say why he rejected your HITS?
I am curious... did you do the HITs correctly? Did they seem uneasy? Maybe you didn't do them correctly? I'm not accusing you of that just you need to be realistic! If he deliberately rejected you then I can understand where you are coming from! If he feels you didnt do them correctly he is not going to reverse his rejections no matter what you beg.
Still... 7400 HITs is pretty ridiculous. Not smart to do so many hits from one requester that a mass rejection will drop you to the point of suspension.
I don't recall the exact number and I'm too lazy to go search for it but he said in his other thread his approval rate is now around 57% I believe? Most of us told him a suspension was coming. Sadly I don't think there's anything you [OP] can do at this point. Your approval rating is horridly low and your number of rejections is super high. Unfortunately you took a HUGE risk and it really didn't pay off. I would be heartbroken if I lost my Turk account so I am REALLY careful [probably too careful] about the HITs I do. I work another 'job' that I've been at for almost 5 years now and I can't stand it, I would love to make enough at Turking to be able to finally kiss this other job good bye but I won't take risks like this in order to do so. It's.. well I won't say ignorant because that isn't really polite but it's... I'll just say risky. Incredibly risky to do several thousand HITs for a requester without knowing them well, even then no way should you do more than your approval rate could handle in the event you DO get a mass reject. Meh. Rambling again. I do feel for you because I know how I would feel if my account were suspended/banned.. unfortunately all I can say is lesson learned.
His hits are different amounts... some were a penny but you could do them in seconds.... I did over a 100 in just a few minutes... but I stopped because I was wary if he would approve... but so far all of his are approved.. but it took him a few weeks to approve those. I still have about 33 of his that are waiting.
If it was suspended forget it, if it wasn't do easy hits like oscar smith, catalog choice or readabl hits that have real fast approval time.
I also feel for you Zhaozhen.. 2400... that is a hell lot of rejections from a single req. You should have been very careful when doing bulk hits as the others said. The only one who can save you now is the requester. I think you should search for any private email of Alex Baron and contact him personally somehow..Anyways, very sorry Zhaozhen...
