    Hello Turkopticon users -

Six and I have learned from some of you that the very latest Firefox (13.0.1) and Chrome (21.0.1180.57) break Turkopticon. We're working on a fix that should make Turkopticon less brittle when these browser updates and anticipate it being available late next week.

If you want to keep using Turkopticon for now, don't update Firefox or Chrome.

We apologize to those of you already hit by this problem.

I'm confused the latest stable release of Firefox is version 14.0.1. I'm running that and TO is working fine for me. There was just a beta release of version 15.0. Is that what you mean?

21.0.1180.60 is the latest Chrome version according to my pc. TO is not showing up on AMT now (I don't know when this started as I took a few days off Turking over the weekend). If I can do anything to help with testing etc please let me know.

Turking with no Opticon feels like going out on a windy day with no panties on. I am desperate for it to work again.

Interesting ... on chrome I used to get an error message + slow turkopticon loading time.

Today I get nothing. No permission message, no turkopticon.

    What gives?

Very odd. I don't even recall updating my Chrome but I have version 21.0.1180.60 as well. I also agree.. having no TO while Turking makes me a sad panda.

My Chrome must update automagically on the sly as I never have to do anything, it's always up to date. There will be a setting somewhere...

I agree. I didn't even try it, I hate being without my TO but I can wait. It's not worth trying anything that may be 'iffy'.

1 week....aint it as they say ? I badly want em to get it settled coz its so much uneasiness with the extension not working and i find terrible to each time copy paste the requester name on turkopticon.differenceengines.com search bar to find out the ratings..It just sucks

I am really hoping it gets fixed soon as well. I feel rather naked without my TO triangle there showing me all the goods!

Andy, can you expand on the potential risks with that

Anyone know, is TO going to work on Chrome again one day? If it's something to do with it not being in the official Google repository, is that being addressed? I really do no want to use FF (a lot of my work is done from a typically under-powered netbook and FF doesn't cut the mustard like Chrome).

The website is still available regardless of being able to view in mturk.
So until the issue is resolved, you can just go to the website and search for the requester.

You are probably better off doing it this way and reading the actual reviews instead of relying on the colors.

Yes I do search manually at the moment but it can be the difference between HIT being available and not, so it's a tough call. When I have the on-screen notices, I click through to TO to see what the reviews say, I don't just go by the colour bars, but then again if there are 20+ reviews and the guy is in the red, I take that as sign to avoid without checking on TO.
