Nice thread turkaturka. I like that. the information you provided is very helpful. I must say that this was a good decisions to join the forum.
Is anyone else getting a lot of calendars that have nothing in them? I seem to be getting a lot that way.
Yes I have not seen one so far with detailed information. The testing is confusing me because I have not seen any testing dates so far. Hope we do not have to go to site and look. I tried already and haven't found squat. lol
Here to answer questions periodically. The mandatory testing days will be clear, no need to fret over if you are missing them or not. We attempted to pull districts to the front that have calendars available. Again, just keep clicking through if they aren't ready available. If you do not have calendar qualification already, and haven't worked on calendar collection in the past, I've posted some HITs that are a bit of a test. After you've completed it and I've checked the qualification test for accuracy, I will grant you access to our collection system. Thanks so much everyone for the help. -Dustin
Hi Dustin! Quick question...I am working on a calendar now that has information throughout the year but doesn't list the last day of school. I have checked everywhere for this information. Should I just skip this calendar?
Hi, working on your qualification right now and I got a school in Alabama, and in AL there's a law that students have to pass certain exams to graduate and those exams are held multiple times throughout the year. If a date I am checking has one of these AHSGE exams on it, would I consider that mandatory? Thanks for your time.
If no end date is listed on the calendar and you have already put all of the work in to the rest of the calendar, go ahead and choose a date around where you think the last day of school would be. This is a really tough situation and honestly shouldn't come up but a few times in the entire collection process. Missing that one date certainly won't get anyone in trouble. As to the testing days in Alabama, those certainly would be considered mandatory attendance days, and it is a great catch by you to know that. -Dustin
I am leaning towards yes, though it is hard to say without seeing the calendar itself. Also, Dustin clarified a few things the last time we did the calendars that are not mentioned in the guide. This should help clear up some questions.
Thanks Dustin! I went ahead and just skipped that calendar as I didn't want to submit it without knowing for sure!
Just want to double check. If we find a school that doesn't have the 2013-2014 calendar posted yet, we should skip that school. Is that right???
