Welcome to mTurkForum! Congratulations on taking that next step as a worker or requester on Mechanical Turk.

If you are a requester, please send me a private message, and I will work with you to set up your forum account. Thanks!

    Posting New Threads
In order to cut down on spam, you won't be able to make a new thread for your first post, but can reply to an existing one instead.
    • I recommend popping over to the Daily HITs Forum and make a quick reply in today's thread which usually has a title like (Can't Find ____HITs).
    • These threads are where you will find most HITs posted, and most discussion about HITs.
    • After making that post, you should be able to make threads in most sections of the forum. If not, let me know.

    Posting Links/Images
Unfortunately, you also will be unable to post links for a short period of time.
    • This includes images, as well as any links.
    • If you notice your posts needs moderation, they will post after they've been reviewed or try editing your post and deleting any links.
    • After you make a few posts, the limits should be removed.

Hello. Apologies in advance if this reply is in the wrong place, but I'm totally new here. I actually received a link to Mturk in an email message from a friend. I've been looking for employment for awhile, and he just thought I might like to check out Mturk. I am rather new to the idea of crowd-sourcing, and I need to read up on HITS and everything. I recently registered for a Worker account over at the Mturk general site, and heard about this forum in a YouTube video that I watched yesterday. I've pretty much been on my own as far as this is concerned, and don't really know what I'm doing yet.

Welcome! Good luck. Hope you get accepted. It's pretty random whether people get accepted and it varies how long it takes to get accepted too.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have once you get accepted to start working in Mturk.

Welcome to the forum! Since you made a couple of posts, you should be able to post anything new now. Feel free to join us at the daily HIT thread where most of us hang out.

Hi there, how many replies do you have to make before you can post something new?

Welcome to the forum! I've made it so that you can go ahead and post something new. If it says it needs moderation, it'll get posted as soon as possible.

Hi People! How is it going?

I created an account on Mechanical Turkey and, after that, appeared two messages. First, "You have additional steps to complete before you can start earning rewards." and then, when I click on the link, "We will email the Amazon account you signed in with when we have completed our review or when your invitation is available. Meanwhile, if you want to learn more about being an Amazon Mechanical Turk Worker, please read our FAQs."

I don´t know if this is the place where post it and I apologize in advance, but, now a days where we try to avoid "frictions" in the conversion funnel, wait for 1 to 3 days I think is a lot. ¿What do you think?

    Have a nice week

    Gabriel

    Hello! Welcome to the forum!

When you sign up for Mturk, you have to wait and see if you get accepted to work on it. Nothing you can do but wait and see. 1 to 3 days isn't long really. Some people have had to wait months. Hopefully it's not long of a wait.

Hello all... I just signed up as a member of this forum. I have done over 14,000 MTurk HIT's over the last 4-5 years and have made a decent amount of money but from looking at the posts on this forum, I am missing many of the high paying HIT''s. Hopefully, this forum will help me figure out what I am doing wrong so that I can get higher paying HIT's...David

    Hi! Welcome to the forum!

Feel free to join us in the daily thread for current HITs that were posted that day. Do you have a way to catch HITs? Most of us are using Hit Catchers or Panda Crazy to catch HITs that were posted hoping they post again. That would help catch the high paying HITs.
