I don't think so. It's been bad all day, I've been playing tetris to keep myself busy.

It will only get worse, even if anyone comes back to work between xmas and new years it will be very slow.

    If only I knew Arabic...

Going to give my 2 cents and say that I've wanted to try the writing HITs but my writing is atrocious. I'm not creative when it comes to language arts. The irony in that is that everyone I know in my field of work is the same. You should see some of our company emails... We're really brazen to being the most dull people you'll ever have the pleasure of meeting.

It might be like Thanksgiving. There was a lot of work then... right? Hopefully some quality Rubins will popup this week. I need another $80 so I can SLI my dev rig.

to be honest, the writing hits don't call for much creativity... maybe you have to be a bit creative in how you come up with different ways to say the same thing a couple dozen times like in the longer e-cig pieces, but otherwise, just dull, bland, uninteresting writing. have good grammar, know how to spell or use spellcheck, don't do a rewrite and include any of the same content as the source, and follow the requester's rules. that's pretty much it. vocabulary helps too, just in terms of thinking of alternate wordings.

As long as you follow guidelines most of the times you are fine. For example, when I BS on here I'm not paying much attention and my grammar is like that of a handicapped child but once I set my mind on the task I compose the written world like that of Leo Tolstoy or William Faulkner. Check out cs's web site to get a taste of it.

I see. Thanks for the advice. The issue is on a good MedCrowd or Rubin day, sometimes a combo of both, I can easily put away upwards of $170, which is really good. Like last week I missed out on a few MedCrowd and some Rubins. All of which were my fault, but I still did decent. I'm not too pressed on losing out Christmas week because I made a little over 500 the first 2 weeks of December combined. So I'm ridiculously happy about it.

half of thanksgiving was slow as shit, the other half i couldn't keep up with how many great hits were out there. but this is different. most schools aren't back in session until at least the end of the first week in january, many won't be back for longer, and since it'll be a new semester, it might take a while for new research projects to get started.

and business is slow as shit at least until after new years, my last office job was in manhattan and we worked with nearly 100,000 companies from tiny hole-in-the-wall pizza joints to the biggest MNCs on planet earth, and we would sit at work from the day after xmas to the day after new years and if we could fill 1/8th of the day with actual work and not just inventing shit to do we considered it a win...

i'm certainly not the pessimist that mtnsurf is, but i'm trying to be realistic about the next couple of weeks and lower my expectations a bit so that if it's busy, i'm pleasantly surprised, and if it's not, i'll take whatever's out there and deal with it...
