Is amazon.in opend the doors for indian turkers to dream online transfers to their banks apart from Indian checks? Can't understand the concerns of Amazon about turkers in india, y they are not allowing online transfers as they are now operating from their Citi Bank account for Indian transactions for their Amazon product sales site!!!
Of coarse they're going to allow money to be spent from over there, but not be made from over there. Law of business.
Amazon has local versions in the UK, Germany, France, Japan, Canada, China, Italy and Spain - yet none of those Turkers get bank transfers. I would not get my hopes up if I were you.
I dont think the online transfer thingy is gona work but may be issues of delivery of items to India from Amazon site (i.e. from U.S) cud be resolved... Earlier around 5 or 6 months i tried to buy a camcorder with the balance in my gift certificate but unfortunately i cudnt coz for most of the things the delivery to India isnt available !! So may be nw we have a new Ebay or Flipkart where we can purchase using our mturk earning balance that was transferred as gift certificate !!
Yes may in this aspect there will be some fetching to indian turkers to transfer their earning in gift certificates, whatever, hope some good happening to indians in coming days!!!
