I told a friend of mine about AMT after she lost her job. She started the process of becoming a worker and after a few days she received an email from AMT rejecting her application. They said they couldn't reveal why as their criteria is proprietary but that in the future they may send her an invitation to work on AMT. I've never heard of this before and wondered if anyone else has, who can enlighten me? Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your friend. I've heard about people even in the US getting denied. Who knows why. Maybe there's a limit amount of applications that they are letting in. I've also read about people saying they finally got accepted after applying months ago. There's a chance she'll get invited later.

They probably have enough [strike]chumps[/strike] [strike]suckers[/strike] turkers willing to do penny HITs in order to “get their numbers up.”
