Per the advice of my fellow forum members, I've focused solely on numbers for at least my first month on mTurk. Today is day 11, and so far I have submitted 332 HITs. I'm wondering if you guys think that is a decent rate, or if I should start looking for some HITs that take less time.

Initially, my goal was to submit 100 a day for the first 10 days, and then over 100 everyday after that. I only reached the 100 mark one time, because I found some "click the better image" HITs. My next highest day was 58 submitted. Some of the 411richmond HITs that I've been doing take a little while, so I haven't been able to do as many as I would like.

Also, I'm wondering about how many total HITs I would need before I can write my own ticket, so to speak.

my goal is to try to do at least 100 a day during the week, and ideally more on the weekends. I've learned after a few weeks to do surveys, in the beginning I avoided them but now I wish I didn't :(

I appreciate the feedback. I started doing some Jimmy Dragon transcription HITs earlier, and I started to feel silly for having done so many 411richmonds. A big batch of those gave me decent numbers for the day, and I did get some surveys earlier in the day, so I had one of my better days today. That's not saying a lot, but I'll take it. If I find a solid batch tomorrow, I might break the 500 HIT mark.

i know some people like them, but personally i won't touch transcription hits, too low paying for the time spent.

keep watching the hits thread, getting your money up in the morning and when a good batch pops, get all over it. Jaime Arguello has had batches of 5k up most of the day for example, ten cents a hit 20 seconds completion. Endor of course, though i haven't seen them post in awhile, superfish with their benchmarking tasks, the pay is shit compared to the good fishies but better than transcription.

netmsi, titling porn clips isn't bad either.

Thanks. I've been careful about which HITs I've chosen to do because I'm always concerned about having my work rejected. I'm sure I've returned more HITs than I really needed to due to over-thinking the process. The low paying HITs that I've been doing have kind of been a safety net. I'm only making a few bucks a day, but I haven't received a rejection yet.

I'm having a problem with my computer running too slowly. I'm using Hit Scraper to find work to do, but it's really slowing me down. I had two surveys expire before I could enter the completion code.
