    Hai,

Mturk currently doesn't allow new workers to create an account. They are also suspending accounts on a regular basics.

There is some major problems that making amazon to shut down their well known site mturk.

In my finding, amazon is facing some legal problems from some requesters because of some fake workers. So mturk is forced to close their website.

You're giving false information and presenting it as fact. They are NOT closing the website.

They seem to be temporarily freezing new accounts, but that's it.

Also, I would like to see evidence of them "suspending accounts on a regular basis." I've heard of people having their account suspended for doing poor work, with an very low approval rating, but that's about it.

Multinatinals like Amazon could care less about a state suit, they own the West Coast like it's nobodies' business. I'm sure last year when the lawyers saw this they shrugged and said "more five-star lunches for us!"

Yeah until I see a press release from Amazon or something in a reputable news source I'll stick with the BS call.

Read your own court briefs... Amazon cases are only being cited as precedent cases.

I'm not seeing where Amazon Mechanical Turk, or even just Amazon in general is the defendant on either of those cases. I do see one of those cases is five years old.

But, uh, yeah, I'm sure the sky is falling and the world is ending. What was that date? Dec, 21, 2012? Just make sure to have all of your money out of your Amazon Payments account by then.

I hope and pray Amazon is putting freezes on new accounts. I hope it has something to do with people like the member here that now has an account in his brother's name. I hope honest requesters start getting better results and paying better, and I hope scam requesters get fucked during this process, too.

Does anyone think this is Amazon's attempt to get requesters to raise their rates?
