Depends. If I know the material, I can whip out an article quickly and make decent money. Otherwise the research and stuff eats up the time and makes it not worth my time. I just looked and there's 2 HITS that pay .00 and a BUNCH that are .01 that want a a lot of work for that penny. Sorry, they're not getting that out of me. If we all refuse to do those ridiculous HITS for .01 then they'll raise the pay.
This is a great thread! I've only been doing the higher paying HITS b/c the smaller paying ones seem more time consuming. I generally do them right after work for a little while but reading how much money people are making off the high volume HITS has changed my approach. Just like everyone else has said, it will depend on how much time and energy i feel like putting towards it.
As many have said, I don't think they are mutually exclusive. The most important aspect, to me, is how easily I can complete the HIT and how quickly. It all balances out...obviously writing a 300 word article will take longer than "rewrite this sentance for $0.08" but the $3 it comes with usually more than balances out. ALthough it is nice to just blast through a huge pile of easily completeable, quickly verified HITs.
I'm a giant snob. I won't do anything that pays less than a dollar unless it's INCREDIBLY fast or incredibly amusing to me. Mind you, I'm just doing this for extra dough to spend on books, rather than for real money, so I don't care if I can't find any high-paying ones for a week.
I pick mid-range hits, generally from $0.50 to $3. Others are either too little-paying for what they ask or too intricate for me to do without thought.
I usually grab one or two well paying hits but stick to my bread and butter < .20 hits. It all adds up in the end.
I mostly focus on more hits...most of the higher value hits look to be too much effort or concentration for the pay and I'd feel like I was doing homework.
