I've been wondering the same thing. I'm adjusting them only because the email reads to copy and paste as they appear, well the way they are pasted is not how they appear on the sight, we'll see. Maybe I shouldn't have, I don't know.

I was just leaving them the way they were and I got the qual for the next batch, so I guess it was okay.

I finished all 5 but the last one dropped my score. Not sure if Mark will check the work manually but services was hard because it seemed that most had to be typed out. Sometimes those are the easiest when there's a list to just copy but when there's paragraphs I never seem to know how to tackle those (how much should I input). Not sure what's happening after finishing the 5th step.

I got cut off in step 2. I started them on Monday, completing 35 HITs, but didn't have time to finish them up that day. I didn't turk at all on Tuesday or Wednesday because of the holiday. I came back today and went to resume step 2. However, when I accept the HIT I see:

My qualification score is high enough to do the HIT, it just won't let me do them. I vaguely remember when I finished the first batch getting pretty much the same message. But unlike the last time it's been a few days and no mail about receiving the next qualification and the next step hasn't unlocked.

I shot out a message the other day, but don't format hours or services information for these.

Same here, services threw me for a bit of a loop with the formatting, so I'm kinda not sure if the score is showing correctly now or if it's like the first one that got adjusted later.

I'm going to manually have to re-assign quals on that for those who did make it that far. But will wait till the end since everyone is going to have an issue I think.

So associations... should they be formatted or just c&p them?

    Code:
American Dental Association, Louisiana Dental Association, and New Orleans Dental Association.
    Or

    Code:
    American Dental Association
    Louisiana Dental Association
    New Orleans Dental Association
I assume on a normal hit it does not matter since its going to be parsed out on the back end. But for this test it might be the difference between correct or wrong.

I would assume one would have to do some editing on those, since often they include things like "Fellowship of" or "president from 2002-2006". I always assumed that beyond that, in the regular HITs, that there's no difference between separating each one line by line or having a comma-separated list. (I could be wrong!)

I'd be more worried about the services part, where there are things we usually have to exclude. Specifically those sites that just use the same template as every other site, and have things like "reasons for endodontic treatment" there sandwiched between the actual services they provide. (That's if I get that far though!)

Yes the "fellowship of" and what not would have to go. But for this test it just depends if he is striping out things like "the", "and", ",", "newline" before testing. If he is they are basically the same from from a compairing strings or even Levenshtein point of view.

I get what you're saying, I just don't know if the formatting really matters for that particular step. The associations step didn't have any special instructions. Just steps 3 and 4...

Any clarification would be good though!

Sorry just saw this. There will be some editing needed since we don't want things like "members of". But if it is a straight string of text with only commas and the word "and" as the last separator then you can C&P as it is.

One thing I find myself worrying about is the wild inconsitencies on a lot of these sites impacting my score.

I went to one site where the address was different on two different pages. In fact, on one page it was listed twice and it didn't even match itself between the address and the map link they provided.

Look at that mess. The "-C" which I assume is a suite doesn't match. But even more worryingly, neither do the zip code or the main phone number. If I remember correctly I went with what matched between the contact page and the locations page. Still, it's crazy that a professional business can't get such basic information straight on their site.

Ugg just had the same thing. The hit lists 'Ste 100' but the websites header has the address with out it. But on the locations page the Google map they have for people to find the location does list 'Suite 100'. I'm going with the headers address but damn stuff like that makes me worry.

Ouch. I did really poorly (55) on the services step. It was the step I had the least confidence about, and I expected to do bad, but that was worse than I thought. Among the problems I had.

    1) I didn't know whether to keep the stuff we're normally supposed to get rid of like...

    "Periodontal Disease
    Diagnosis
    Treatment
    Maintenance"

At first I was removing them like normal, but then I remembered we were supposed to not format, so I did a bunch leaving the stuff I'd normally chop out in.

    2) Most sites have their services split among multiple sub-pages.

    3) A lot of them have explanatory paragraphs after the service name. I was just copying the name of the service.

I found it pretty difficult, since I was so unsure about what was the correct way to do a lot of them. It probably didn't help me much that since Tuesday became the regular day, I don't do many (or some weeks any) of the services, since by the time they come up I'm ready to eat dinner and watch TV. So I was a bit rusty on that step.

Same boat on all of this. Given that this seems to be a work in progress, I wouldn't worry too much until this is all sorted out, unless Mark wants to pop in and tell us we did terrible.
