You told me you were putting them up next week. I was just giving you some context so you would know who I was.

The qualifiation batch only allows you to work on a certain amount of hits until you qualify. Once you get the qualification notification it will lock you out of it so that HIT's are retained for other workers to attempt. thinking retrospectively this should have been explained and the batches should have been labeled accordingly.

Welcome aboard!!!! First, let me say that it's really great that you're willing to communicate with us and actually provide feedback about the work we've submitted.

Do you plan on posting more hits in the near future?

Most of my questions were hit specific. I found a few things confusing, the instructions regarding the medical center name for instance, some small formatting things, etc... So when you post future hits if you could poke your head in here for a few moments that would be fantastic, and hopefully it would cut down on all of us emailing you the same question. :)

Thank you for the great hits and prompt payment and I hope you have a great mturk experience!!!!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I've seen another worker saying that he had done many HITs from the bigger batch and suddenly you locked him out by dropping the score to 70. Is there a cap to the number of HITs that can be done in a batch?

Welcome to the forum! Your HITs are great! The auto qualification thing was a little confusing but I was upped to 90 the same day so I was able to continue work. The job wasn't hard and I feel like the instructions were easily explained. The only thing I did have a question on was the actual name of each property. I've been approved on all but I just wanted to make sure I give you guys quality work. For the property name for instance, let's say, Medcrowd in Gainesboro. I usually would put Medcrowd and go on. Would you rather Medcrowd - Gainesboro?

Welcome! I hope to snag some of your HITs before they're gobbled up ( I always get there too late, lol.)

Welcome to our forum. I want to thank you for reviewing my work on the qualification hits I did. You actually took the time to point out what I had done wrong and give me the qualification. I can't wait until you put more hits up. (and yes I will be more careful)

I am not sure about that. The bigger batch is not designed to lock people out nor should it drop their score. Please have the worker reach out to me individually so that I might research it.

Yes right we we are planning to put some batches mid-next week (wed/thurs).

Its my pleasure, I have made some smaller test batches in the past and asked workers on other boards if they were willing to test it for direction and functionality. I will be sure to include you in the future.

Your not the only one. Many workers did and I am going to try my best to clarify the instructions in a more concise and clear way.

For the record, both answers are acceptable, though Facility/Property Name + City/Location is preferable. Just to note, do not feel the need to add the City/Location if the website itself does not go to that extent. We really just want to make sure we have the correct name on file according to how the practice/location identify's themselves.

Haha, I'm sorry that keeps happening. To be honest I am not 100% confident with what I'm putting out yet because of the complexity of the tasks on my end. We could easily put out 500,000 HITs, but we are taking it one step at a time.

My hope is to get to a weekly schedule for many different tasks.

Thank you. Its my pleasure. I understand that you want to understand your work as well as our expectations. I would ask, as you all have, to do the same for us so that we continue to improve.

This isn't a problem, I realize that the instructions were confusing/ambiguous and that this may be a different type of information than what you are used to working with. I have been working with this data for over a year now and I myself am still learning also. At any point during the task if you have any questions just ask. Unfortunately I am not available on weekends to answer questions but I will answer at my earliest availability.

    ~ Mark L.

P.S. - There is 1 other person on my team who does pop in to answer questions and set up HITs other than myself. His name is Mo, and right now he has been diverted to handle other internal prorities. Therefore I will be handling HIT set up and Q/A until he becomes available so please bare with me as it takes a while to answer 130+ emails + messages + forum posts haha.

Hello, and thanks for being here. It always speaks well of a requester when they are willing to be.

Hm. You seem to be acknowledging that the HITs are harder after you get the qual but also saying that this is not cherry picking. However, to me, doing that is the definition of cherry picking.

I'm not trying to be rude. It's just puzzling to me how that is different.

You're not being rude, you are trying to understand it and it seems I'm doing a poor job of explaining so I'll try again :).

The HIT's may or may not be harder after the qualification. I cannot say because I have worked very closely with the qualification HIT's only. This is to ensure that they are doable to evaluate your abilities in collecting that information not to stump you, waste your time or "cherry pick" as you mention.

Having said that, we are passing you Address information and a URL. I have no way of knowing if the site is designed well/layed out well/easy to navigate or designed poorly. I also don't know if the address information we are giving you is accurate which would make identification harder if there are multiple locations in close proximity to one another, or if they've moved from a previous location and do not list the old location anymore. This is what I meant by stating
In this way, the qualifications are easier than the actual hits because the qualifiations have been aggregated and tested by me. Our intention is not to purposely provider harder HITs after the qualification, it just happens that some of them may end up being harder because of the aforementioned reasons.

The opposite case may also be possible. You may end up getting a HIT that provides a site that is easy to navigate and has all information listed neatly on one page that copy/pastes well or that reflects the data we've given you.

    I hope this clarifies.

Just as a note, I am only available Monday - Friday from 7am - 4pm to answer questions.

    Have a great weekend!

OK. :) Sounds like the qual batch will always be of a steady difficulty level, because they're all vetted. The "other" batch will be of an unknown difficulty level, so its HITs could be either harder or easier, based on luck of the draw.

If that's what you mean, think I've got it! Thanks.

I've been communicating with Mike by email for a couple days now and he's a nice guy. I see that he came in here to explain the process. I really appreciate you taking time to do this, Mike. You rock.

In simpler terms yes haha. I'm sorry, I have trouble keeping things concise and clear as I'm sure you can tell by the HIT directions haha. But I'm working on it!
