I just tried to do a hit from this list but none were available. Now do some of them have requirements as to how many hits you have to have completed? I've only got 561 approved hits with 20 or so pending and 2 rejections.
Dead laptops are the worst. Is it dead DEAD? Or is it a thing that can be fixed? If it's the latter, please peruse online forums, as I've had so many lovely geek types walk me through computer issues. If it's dunzo, depending on where you live, check out a reddit of a nearby area or something. People give away stuff and a basic functional laptop could be cheap or free. Something to tide you over. Mostly, I'm sorry. I know that feeling and it's the worst. I hope you're able to find a solution.
Yes some requesters have requirements of how many HITs you have done or approval rate. Most HITs have 95% approval or up. It's important to avoid rejections at the beginning until you can build your HIT approval.
Since I started turking about a year ago, I've already had 2 rejections. My 2nd one happened almost a couple weeks ago. Because of this, there's only like a couple requesters I trust to do hits with until I get a decent number of them completed.
