This is what I know of and am using. The pandas in the hit notifier goes into Panda Crazy when clicking on those pandas. They don't go to Hit Catcher. (I tried that and it doesn't do that unless I'm missing something.) As long as you have Panda Crazy up, the pandas should show up in Panda Crazy. The hit catcher only works with MTS.
You got it all correct. To quick add to HIT Catcher from HN you would right click the preview/panda link and then add it through the context menu (PC's buttons are easier).

weird. I was only opening hit catcher and hit notifier (did not open panda crazy at all) and when I clicked on links in hit notifier they would go to MTurk saying no more hits, but had the panda buttons, so I'd click on once or panda and the hit would go into hit catcher, I swear! I worked like that all last month, then I was away for a couple of weeks, and now it doesn't work like that anymore. took the updates for MTS so maybe something disconnected that ability. the panda crazy now tells me it has to be opened into another window, it's not "focused" in just another tab. it does work, but I haven't used that for pandas since I discovered hit notifier was working with hit catcher. I bet the update from MTS ended that ability is the only thing I can figure out.
interesting. I never right clicked, just clicked the link in HN, it opened into MTurk with panda and once button, I'd click on that and it would go into hit catcher. I did have to manually add a name, but usually I just added amount instead. wish it still worked for me, it was much easier to use, oh well
